Going with some flatbread that I made with garlic in it and some coriander from the garden. Peas from the garden........ finished off with scrumpy (plums, damsons, blackberries, apples and rhubarb) sponge and custard

Ladylucan
Gosh i am so jealous, i havent got a veggy patch, or an allotment, and the only thing i picked today , was washing up off the floor, soaking wet towels of the kitchen floor that i had thrown down when my dishwasher flooded the kitchen, and something that one of my pregnant girls ( yorkies) had decided to bring up. Though i do have a tomato plant in a pot, does that count??, ( though i dont ahve any toms yet)
ubereglu
I picked a handful of runner beans and 2 cobs of sweetcorn-the sweetcorn was delicious and you can certainly tell the difference between fresh stuff straight from the plant. Cinnamon
They look gorgeous. The hens had ours - not enough sun on the veggie plot for them to get nice & juicy like yours I just picked the last of the courgettes, & have dug it over ready for my Garlic to go in I have a Swede - just the one - that looks nearly ready & will be hopefully picking the first sprouts at the weekend to go with a lovely local, free range, organic pork loin joint I have just bought
Christian
Waiting for my garlic to arrive by post. Should be soon. I have the bed ready and waiting! The curly kale seeds have just sprouted, so will go in the winter bed next to the chard and spinach. Need to make a huge cloche now to protect it all

Christian
It was the organic gardening catalogue, but they did say Sept/Oct, so will have to be patient. (not something i'm good at)
Guest
Christian, they look good enough to eat Ours aren't nearly as nice as that, I think we have had too much rain and not enough sun Our sunflowers are about 15 feet tall though I had loads of tomatoes, potatoes, beetroot, radish, lettuce, carrots and parsnips Not done well with broccolli, any of my herbs, spinach or squashes Will persevere though I will try again I have just ordered garlic, onions and potatoes
