Have you got guttering that really helps :D I use clear tarpaulin and just put it down on the side the rains coming from,

Yes I bought the guttering but where hubby has put the roof on it overhangs where the guttering should be so I'd have the driest guttering in Derbyshire :lol::lol: the tarpaulin is really doing the trick. Must admit I've actually taped/sealed 1 corner as that side gets the brunt of the weather :(

We are going to re-visit the guttering/roof next and hopefully get it sorted :D

OK so we are a week into the new WIR. 1st couple of days no problem with the exception of the water seeping under the frame and soaking the easi-bed. Did a make-shift resolve tonight and have put old plastic corrugated stuff under the tarpaulin & hopefully the rain will run away until we get the guttering done.

Foe the last few days the girls have not been going into the cube and have been choosing to lay their eggs in the dirt bath or just on the floor  I know the WIR is ace but... :eh::shameonu: *Head into the nest box*...no everything ok in here..no nasties, bedding nice & clean

Tonight I solved the mystery  it looks like my boys decided to close the hatch to the cube & my poor girlies couldn't get into their home

They are all nicely tucked up tonight in the cube and I now know to double check what the boys do :wall:

Oh dear, poor girlies  .

Re the rain leaking under the frame, I have the same problem. I wondered about (but haven't done yet!) putting outdoor sealant along the join of frame & slabs. I put sealant along the join of my garage roof and the WIR roof (water was getting in there  ) and it's worked perfectly.

I wouldn't put it along the inside as the girls would no doubt eat it :wall::roll: .

I had a lot of trouble last year with that ANH. When the puddles formed along the base it just flowed in. Tried lots of types of sealant and even made sandbags.

In the end what mostly worked was evostic one smeared thinly into the cracks between wood and concrete and the wood joins at ground level. Need to push it right into the joins with damp finger, don't just put a bead along it. Been dry so far.

On the inside I mixed waterproof grout and it sets like concrete so the girls can't eat it, then smeared external sealant very thinly over it.
