Pro - Does anyone else's nest boxes get soaked in rain?

Lovely yesterday but cloudy and cool this morning.

 

I can see a few bits of blue but it's only 12 deg. Bit of a shock to the system after recent days!

11deg here at 5.30am, REALLY dark and wet, the rain has eased a bit now but it's still pretty dark.

 

Storms due tomorrow apparently.

The rain here is very heavy downpours, no light showers at all yet, it is so dark by 8pm now , although it is dark too with the rain and it is humid, not pleasant.

The trees are losing their leaves, but compared to last year the Farmers have got the harvest in.

After being chilly, dark and wet for most of the day, it cheered up a bit late afternoon and the sun came out. It's clear out there now, so will probably be cold tonight. I think the outlook has improved from the earlier forecasts.

Pretty chilly here this evening, the day did improve though, sunny late afternoon and evening.

Torrential rain last night - at least it's washed all the building site dust off my veg & flowers .

It stayed sunny and very warm until mid afternoon yesterday when we had a flash of lightening followed by some heavy rain. Sun was back by early evening though.

Saw on the local news last night that there was a hail storm in Falmouth yesterday everywhere was blanketed in white- looked utterly bizarre!

 

Sunny start this morning but we've had more rain overnight. It's still mild though.

Cold start here, followed by a warm sunny day, very short shower late afternoon and there has been a chilly wind when the sun has gone in.

Same here, not too bad at all and didn't see any of the forecasted rain.

Chucking it down and cold here this morning, not forecast was supposed to be just over cast and cool.

 

Not a good day to have no upstairs windows and the front door open, because this is the first day of having our double glazing done.

Vile here too, and very dark this morning. It has brightened a bit and it looks as if the rain has stopped. I have people coming in today to erect some fencing, so I hope it is drier this afternoon.

Definite autumnal chill in the air last night and this morning. Lit the woodburner and will probably light again tonite! I don't actually mind this year as we've had a lovely summer.

Sunny but breezy here. There were some dark clouds about but they seem to have gone. It is really hot in the house as the sun is shining through the patio door!

Cool and sunny first thing, then got very dark at lunchtime, but didn't actually rain. It has been a breezy day, good wash day, been washing curtains to go back up at new windows

It wasn't too bad first thing, but the promised rain has swept in and it's cold and dark. Temp now down to 14deg in the shade outside; it was so cold in my office earlier that I put the heater on for a while.

What a change from yesterday which was lovely. Thank goodness I cut the grass! Today is really wet with gusts of winds that nearly blew the dog over when she went out first thing Certainly a batten down the hatches day.

Saturday started damp but cleared, so we went to Stoke Bruerne village at war - a lovely annual festival of the 2nd world war, wheer the whole village (or so it seems) dresses up and there are displays of old vehicles, weapons and just 1940s lifestyle.

 

Sunday has dawned fine, but we're forecast rain by 10am, so am out cleaning out the chooks and splitting logs.

It was cold here yesterday although bright we have rain and wind forecast for today but I was sure we were meant to have that yesterday too, luckily hubby is doing the rugby training with our son whilst I clean the house
