The Dogmother
I'd noticed! It was gorgeous first thing even after plenty of rain over night. 17deg here and quite balmy but there are more clouds now and I predict rain we have the outlaws coming over for a late lunch and they want to pop out for a wee walk afterwards so I can confidently predict that it will rain in about an hour and a half! Purplemaniacs
DM did it rain for your walk. I went to the archery field first thing this morning and shot some arrows and it was lovely dare I say almost summer like, but there was a breeze which was not good for the arrows. In the afternoon it clouded over but we have not had any rain so far Chrissie
The Dogmother
No, no rain today and it's St Swithun's day so really ought to stay dry for 40 days... if you believe that.

clucker1
same here in wet Surrey. Planted all those lovely seed and they are just green plants now with very few flowers. It is all depressing really. Perhaps I should plan those Autumn baskets now? Or is this Autumn.
lillybettybabs
I have just found my hens roosting in the conservatory with very wet feathers - i haven't booted them out (even though i should I've made them so scrambled egg instead. OH wasn't amused at Merl's muffled crow whilst he was having a telephone interview and Noel the rabbit jumping onto the table and drinking his tea. The Dogmother
Not too bad this morning. looked threatening first thing and only 11deg but is now warmer with a balmy breeze. Plenty of clouds though so I shan't leave the washing out. A colleague has just told me that the gulf stream will be shifting and we'll have nicer weather from next week onwards.... just storms and floods until then

chickencam
I know what you mean Sarah, I was covering for our receptionist yesterday and the amount of conversations I had about the rain was beyond funny. It was horrible yesterday though, dull and muggy today.

LolaLayla
Well the rain has come up to us now It has been mainly dry since Thursday with just a quick drizzle one day. I see on the news that we have now to get our usual damp and mild weather which I reckon you folks down south have been enjoying recently
