Oh my oh my im so excited Ive seen the trailer and now watching the movie special.

 

This is my ALL time favourite

We can't wait either. It looks so good. We went and saw it on stage in November, it was the fourth time I've seen it. I always get goosebumps when I hear the music.

I am about to pre book my tickets thinking as it will just be me on my own I may have to get the VIP seats

 

Ive been in love with the musical since we did parts of it at school, then it was the music we studied for our GCSE's totally love it

Difference of opinion,but I loathed the stage show & thought the movie looked dire

 

My mate worked on the show about 20 years ago & gave us tickets as a gift - The Husband fell asleep!

 

Still,it takes all sorts & I hope those who are looking forward to it really enjoy it

Saw the movie two days ago, it was wonderful. Walked out in tears. Attended the play a few years back while in New York. Have down loaded the book for free on my Kindle to reread it again.

I loved the stage show, I've seen it twice .... and I don't want to see the film. I can't see how it would translate to film, and I don't want to spoil my memories of a really great musical.

You ought to see the trailer its amazing think it will be just as good as the stage

 

If the trailer doesnt give you goose bumps then maybe the movie wont be as good but the trailer definately gave me goose bumps and the snippets I saw today wow ! And reading our local press i think that Javerts suicide was shot in Bath at the Pulteney Bridge ???

I saw the Stage Show in London years ago and loved it but OH hasn't seen it; we quite fancy going to watch the film version

I saw the musical in the West End and didn't think it would make a great film when I first heard about it but from the trailer and documentary I saw about it, I really want to go and see the film!

We love the show - my two sons were both in a youth version a couple of years ago too. I think it will be different, and fabulous in a different way. I can't help thinking that the acting and story will hold your attention more than the music as happens with the stage version, as by the nature of film you will be "closer" to the action. I'm really looking forward to it.

I saw the stage show when it first came out as I was lucky enough to be given tickets by a friend in the industry. Phil doesn't normally do musicals but is sufficiently impressed by the trailer to want to see the film.

It's never been one of my favourite musicals, I just don't know why. Think I'll wait until it comes on TV, which usually isn't long these days.

I have seen it on the stage and enjoyed it. I was indifferent about watching it at the cinema until I wanted quite a long programme on it on TV yesterday and now I can't wait to see it.

Whoops sorry I was refering to one of the songs but dont think I have given much away re story line dont listen to any of the sound track as that will give it all away too.

Why does this thread now say "May contain spoilers" noen of the storline has been given away ??? I am confused just because I referred to the name of a song all of which can be easily found on the website and the itv porgamme gave a few bits away bit upset really

I think it is fair to warn those who have not read the book,seen the show or done web research about a major plot line that may be given away or hinted at in a thread.

 

It happens all the time - the Mods are just protecting those who might want to be kept surprised

I went to see the Advance screening on Tuesday in London and it was epic!

 

We were at the front of the cinema and it was really wierd being SO close to the actors faces singing at you, as we're probably used to seeing it on stage, but it was really good

We're seeing it tomorrow afternoon, I really can't wait either. I've got such high expectations now fromall the reviews and trailers.

 

My DD took both her grandmothers and aunt to see the show again (we went in November), she is beyond excited. I said to her did she not think she might overdo Les Mis this week, as she's going to see the film as well at some point this week. She could see it every day I think andwould be happy.

Going to see it tomorrow at Imax Southbank. Very excited ...just to be going to the Imax actually, have never seen the show, not read the book and only know one of the songs.......
