soapdragon
Have been continuing with normal 10 mins per day on either rowing machine or Wii step over the Christmas/New Year break but still on the 'see food' diet and making valiant attempts to reduce the Chalgrove port lake so not sure its doing any good at all! Angie
Not planning any sort of regime as yet. Just struggling with getting through each day atm, this weather is killing me and my buddy Mr Arthr itis . So when things improve and I can walk about with more ease ....I may get out and just walk a bit more , too busy living with heat packs , lotions and potions. But I'm thinking of All of you and will be very supportive in All you do . Happy New Year to All.
Space Chick
I want to up my game with my cycling! I managed over 750 miles last year, I'd like to increase that significantly this year. First step, cycling in the Nevada desert in Vegas later in the month

Ain't Nobody Here
Not heard of that. Well done - hope it works . I log all my runs on Strava (you need a GPS watch to use it). You can follow friends/family who run too and it's quite a good motivator knowing other people can see what you're doing (or not!). Also motivates you to improve your times on regular routes. The Dogmother
Good for you Egluntyne. Circuit training starts back tonight, so that will be telling after 3 weeks off I am looking to get strict with what I eat and getting better value from my exercise time... I have circuits on a Monday for an hour, then half an hour in the gym on a Wednesday while I wait to pick up Madam - that's all the time I can spare in the week, so I need to make it work harder. kinsk
I was going to start the couch to 5k this weekend but found out one of the dogs has chewed through the cable on the treadmill I really struggle to run without music, I struggle to run with music our lanes are pretty much single track and I know a few runners have had accidents with cars. I do start another course of pilates tonight though aswell as my regular one on a Tuesday so two of those a week, plus general day to day animal stuff will have to do for now. Egluntyne
Have just completed Couch to 5K . Managed to run for 50 minutes and clock up slightly over 5K. Not exactly a threat to Paula Radcliffe, but am well chuffed.

Ain't Nobody Here
Well done . Completed my 3rd race in the Borders Cross Country Series on Sunday. 3 1/2 miles through woods, along riverbanks - very picturesque but didn't really enjoy it as I've only just thrown off my Christmas cold . Wasn't last though, which is my usual aim!
The Dogmother
Well done Vicky, you must be very fit now. Rosie's last cross country race was cancelled because to course was flooded... I thought that was the idea?
Ain't Nobody Here
Does sound a bit wimpy to cancel 'cos of that . I gained a couple of places on Sunday by just running through a (very shallow) river while other people were being a bit girly about it .
The Dogmother
Good for you. Yes, she was peeved, OK it was muddy, but she wears spikes, so she's not about to slip anywhere.

Space Chick
Well in Vegas it's 3pm and I have already walked about 14,000 steps today Will be going for a nice walk before dinner, but I reckon I'm averaging at least 15-20,000 steps a day
The Dogmother
Interesting link here about incidental exercise - how many of you regularly do any of these? I'd need to make a list to remember some of them!
Alis girls
had a meal out last night and spent the time discussing pro points. Decided Chinese too many calories so went Turkish. had a chicken kebab and rice and humongous salad which we bought home in a doggy bag and 1 glass of vino. Yup I like to live a little. Suspect the minute piece of Baklava we didnt order with the coffee will have put the 4lbs back on. I do think my stomach as shrunk as I couldnt finish my meal. Today spent 1 hour cleaning out the rank Somme aka chicken run - but need to walk. I do like a goal at the end of my walks - a skinny latte in Costas.
