The Dogmother
You know how the song goes.. 'I'm just a girl who can't say no'...............? Well, I went to get a replacement for Ruby Tuesday, and I've come back with 3 chickens!!!!!! A long journey, partly due to rubbish Multimap directions, and 9 year old map reading, but we got there in the end. We have (from the left in the top picture): (Hey) Jude, 14 week old buff columbian wyandotte bantam Ruby Tuesday 2, 12 week old silver laced wyandotte bantam Roxanne, 12 week old Rhode Island Red bantam All of the girls Mainly Jude, with Ruby in the background Roxanne and Jude Ruby2 and Jude They are gorgeous, and I have tucked them up in bed, cheeping quietly. The Dogmother
Thank you Guys, they are from two different breeders near Newbury; old folks, Margaret and a bloke called Ted. I'll post their details here when I get a moment and pass them to Barbara too

The Dogmother
Right, found the s"Ooops, word censored!"s of paper... the breeders are: Buff columbian wyandotte bantam: 'Margaret', Cottage Chickens, 35 Shyshack Lane, Tadley, RG26 5NH 01189 814555, She also stocks white columbians and a few other breeds. Delightfully dotty old chicken lady. Silver laced Wyandotte bantam and RIR bantam: 'Ted', don't have his address, but he lives near Hermitage, and Shaw, near Newbury and Thatcham (very near A34 and easy to find). 01635 49114 (yes, it's a short number). Sounded like he also had loads of other bantam breeds and hatching eggs too. Didn't get a chance to see them all because it was getting dark. The Dogmother
Thnaks guys, the little two are so sweet, they still make chicky noises. None of them ate much today, so I made them some porridge, hopefully they'll eat some of that. I was thinking of putting one of the others in with them to show them the ropes.
