Luvachicken
Suzie will have been on her antibiotics for her bumblefoot for almost 20 days soon and Gemma will have been on them too but not for as long. I read on another post that probiotic yoghurt was good for restoring good gut flora in chickens but when I've looked before I can never find just probiotic yoghurt. Please can someone tell me what yoghurt I should get for them and is it ok for them all to have it when only 2 of them have been on the antibiotics ? Chickabee
Actimel or actvia. I think they make plain yogurt
Chickabee
I think anything described as bio yogurt, or live yogurt has friendly bacteria. So there's probably loads
Luvachicken
I guess one with low sugar ?
Chickabee
Yes. I think too much sugar can cause bad flora
Chickabee
This is what I've got, for humans, but I have given it to the chooks. I think tesco etc do their own version

Claireabella
I use Yeo Valley Natural Yogurt (live and probiotic) from Tesco for the chooks. As for me, I can't eat yogurt

Beantree
The local Co-Op has a Natural Yoghurt with Probiotic. Checking the label says that there are 4 different cultures in it. Some probiotics only have one. To put this into context, Beryl's Tonic is supposed to have a couple of hundred cultures. So I work on the basis that 4 is better than 1. Egghead68
I give them 0% fat Greek yoghurt for a few days, mainly because they look so funny with their beaks covered in it!
Redwing
I personally don't believe that it is good for chickens and leads to more problems than it solves Something designed specifically for birds would be better - I use Avipro and rate it highly

PixieDust
I am not sure about chickens but my vet has always said that Greek live natural yoghurt is the best for dogs even though the official line is prescription pro-biotic powder.
