patsylabrador
Ok. I was keeping this one quiet but I love doing jigsaws, I always have. It was when Cat tails mentioned her very interesting sounding puzzle that she got for Christmas that I wondered why I keep it secret!! I always have one on the go on the back room table and I like to pop in some pieces while passing but woe betide anyone who completes it when I've done all the hard work and it's got to the easy part. Then they face the Wrath of Jude. Any other semi-vices out there?
Egluntyne
I'm addicted to the Jigsaw app on my IPad.
soapdragon
Jigsaws are a really good brain workout...keep at it, Jude Only wish I had the space to leave one 'in progress'
Alis girls
I was taught to do the straight bits first then the rest. My mum was very strict on this rule and its stayed with me even now.
Charlottechicken
I also love the occasional jigsaw. Haven't done one in ages, and not likely to as the house is really cluttered and half unpacked at the mo
Olly
Ah, Egluntyne, so it's you I have to blame, I mean thank, for telling me about the jigsaw app! One a day - I'm addicted!
Cat tails
I love the jigsaw app too! But nothing beats the real deal! Anyone looking for a challenge needs to look at the Wasgij app or real puzzles. It shows you a picture of people looking at the scene you need to put together. A box contains two puzzles, the box picture and the image you need to create yourself!
The Dogmother
I love them too, although I don't get to do them here at home as I'm too busy. We found them great therapy for my mother, though, in the earlier stages of her dementia. The puzzles got progressively easier over time, and now she's not able to comprehend them at all. My Grandma was a demon jigsaw puzzler, and had some very complicated and beautiful ones.
Purplemaniacs
I'm addicted to the Jigsaw app on my IPad. I like the sound of that Egluntyne if it is addictive perhaps I should wait until I have finished my studying. I remember when I was nursing on theatres we always had a big jigsaw on the go when it was a bank holiday. I do like doing a jigsaw. HarrisonFamily
I love puzzles and am really enjoying trying to do one of those photomosaic where each piece has tiny pictures in it so you cannot see the whole picture until you finish ... Luckily in converting the attic to a childrens play room I have found a lovely spot with natural light from the roof where I can leave the puzzle and when I do get time all the other things I should be doing and are out of sight so easily forgotten.... Cat tails
Well leaving puzzles is not really an option anywhere when you have cats... Even a little mentally challenged one like mine!
mullethunter
OH and I both love jigsaws. His Christmas present from me was a 2000 piece world map one. I won't be allowed near it
Cinnamon
I love jigsaws too, but only really do them over Christmas & Easter, probably because we always had a big one on the go during those holidays when I was a child. They are very tempting........... I am however VERY fussy about my jigsaw subject - no kittens in baskets for me! I also don't like anything too cartoony or pictures of olde worlde cottages. At the moment I am doing a Ravensburger one called 'The Bizarre Bookshelf 2' & I have found quite a few I like from this manufacturer
chickencam
I love them too but gave little space. I got addicted to a jigsaw app on my iPad and removed it, my iPad already absorbs enough of my time
soapdragon
The boys have some lovely ones and I usually chivvy them into getting one out, empty the box, turn all the bits the right way up do three pieces then look up to find that the little doodahs have wandered off to play pirates, draw or read leaving me on my hands and knees determined not to put the damn thing away until its been finished....at which point the boys are nagged to come and make admiring noises and told how much fun they have missed Mothers, eh!!
