Ooh! I'll be very interested to see how you get on with it.

 

My WIR from Aviaries4U is holding up well - think it is about six years old now, I can't remember but I recoated it with wood preserver a couple of years ago. I'd definitely be looking at an Omlet WIR when/if it gives up the ghost though.

A friend has one of the original WIRs and loves it, it seemed really well thought out and functional when I was helping to look after their hens.

The only thing that puts me off compared with wooden WIRs is rain protection and having a roof but I guess you could put corrugated plastic on top as with previous runs.

I got my 2x3x2 just before Christmas (annoyingly at old prices) but I have to say I am so happy I finally took the plunge. Best thing I ever did - got my two cubes connected and fixed my old cube run on the side as an isolation/chick rearing wing) :dance:

 

You won't regret it!! :clap:

Got my 2x2x2 tried to put it up this afternoon gave up and starting again tomorrow the instructions really need some improvement. Now me and hubby know what we doing should be easier to do with a good nights sleep. :D
