Sheilaz
Sheila! and me! How naughty to take my name in vain, I don't know how to be fierce! I take your point though, I can be pedantic. But, it wasn't me. How funny, what a brilliant extract. About Lesley.
Lesley
I'm not fierce Am I?
chocchick
I'm just reading Travels with my Chicken and found this....... Quote from Travels with my Chicken "William and James reckoned they and their (business) partners were dyslexic - something allegedly true of many designers, which may help explain why they seem to think so effectively in visual terms. james said apostrophes baffled him and that mistakes had crept onto their website, resulting in a number of stern "look what you've done" emails putting them right. He wrote back to one especially fierce lady thanking her and asking whether, if she saw any other mistakes, would she please point them out. Future dispatches became rather motherly" Who could they mean?
AnnieP
I'm not fierce Am I? No no no Lesley, no, not at all, please don't worry yourself or get upset........ not fierce in the slightest...... *wipes sweaty palms and licks dry lips*
The Dogmother
I'm not fierce Am I? Ummmm (you may have been one of the candidates, but I have my suspicions with regards to two others )
Sheilaz
I'm not fierce Am I? No, not especially fierce. Just very scary. But, don't you know whether or not it was you that sent the email? If not, it was someone else but not me, and yes, I can think of one or 2 other possibilities. So, was it you, Lesley?
Lesley
No - I don't think so. Perhaps Kate should ask James to clarify?
Mrs Frugal
I've never been fierce to James - you ask him . It's that Lesley - she's very fierce !
Lesley
Not me! James!!!! - where are you?
Sheilaz
Sorry to tease Lesley, but you dug yourself a hole when you said.... I have a list of 2 suspects!! ...and then went on to say "Sheila & me". Well it's not me, so it must be you! PS. Don't you remember whether it was you or not? P P S. Sorry!
Lesley
Well. of course I spoke to James about the mistakes - but I don't think i was fierce! I wish I'd read it before we went to Omlet last week - I could have asked James to his face - that would have been fun And - I actually wrote "Sheila - and KATE"! - but somebody moderated it! Sheilaz
Ah, that explains everything! Perhaps the word "fierce" was artistic licence. Or perhaps it was Kate after all!

Mrs Frugal
I'll have to ask him next time I speak to him. It'd better not be me! I don't do fierce - ask LSH if you can get him to come out from behind the sofa !
Sheilaz
Ooops, I was going to edit out your name from my last post before you saw it in the morning, Kate!
