Lesley
Well, Lauren coped really well after about an hour of trying to get around the house at waist height to stay out of the dogs way I got annoyed about her climbing on the furniture and gave her a good telling off. she ended up being able to pick Jazz up and to kneel on the floor and play with her as long as she didn't come too close. She's still not a natural with Jazz but I think it will be the making of her. She also managed to come with us to collect our latest additions - and was OK with the two large lurchers who came to help I knew they were well behaved but I still didn't think she'd do it. Luckily - Carl agrees about 'no dogs on the bed or furniture' so you lot will all be wrong I still think I'm too old for all this waking at nights lark Does it last long? Eyren
There's a great invention for cats called a Litter Kwitter - I'm sorely tempted to try and train the kittens to use it when they're bigger! (Maddie looks just like the grey cat on the home page - but prettier ) http://www.litterkwitter.com/en/index.php That's great - shows I'm not the only mad person around! somehow, i can't imagine a fully grown labrador perching on a loo seat We will get her to use a spot near to where we will put one of those dog loos - just a quick shovel up then. It's been much easier since the vet said he was happy about her going outside - and Jazz only woke three times in the night, and each time, she performed outside. And she didn't wake until we got up at 6.50 this morning. I can do this I can do this I can ..........

Lesley
Carl has just found a duck egg in the ducklu - that's much quicker than we thought Perhaps it's because ducklings grow much faster then chicks. I was going by what I'd read about chicks and thought it would be around six weeks before we got any duck eggs. What a star! Yesterdays additions to our flock were................ 2 Daisybelles and.... 2 Rhodestars Daisybelles - Daisy and Blossom (Blossom named by Lauren) 1 Rhodestar named Nugget by Jake (he wanted her to be called Burger ) 1 still to be named by Carl I cancelled my order with Good Life Poultry - I will post about it in the other topic.
