Guest
just spent the day at Cheshire Oaks and am utterly exhausted! Bought some Molton Brown stuff for my mum and SIL Some M&S long sleeved T shirts for my BIL A nice M&S Jumper come sweatshirt for my FIL A Jamie Oliver flavour shaker for my MIL A lovely ceramic fondue set for our friends An ELC pop up dragon game for their DS1 Have ordered (on the net) a small baby Moulin Roty baby hen for their DS2 Also ordered that larger Felicie Hen in the frock for my niece, I knew as soon as I saw her that she was the one Got some silly eggs cups and egg timer for my sis and her BF. In the end we went for these http://www.storehouse.ie/shop/images/EggCupsPackg%5B1%5D.jpg with a matching egg timer. Will also give them some of the girls' eggs to go with it They are very cute and very silly, just what we wanted An outfit for me for Christmas day from Roman Originals. DH bought a book called 'The Allotment Book' which cost far less than my outfit so now I feel terribly guilty Got the creme brulee torch we were after. Got lots of nice treats at Julian Graves; cashew nuts, bombay mix, chocolate covered Brazil nuts, marzipan fruits, mulled wine spice bags, beetroot and parsnips crisps, little white choc and macadamia nut cookies. Tried some crocs on and they just swamped my feet, far too wide Even had time for a drink and a mince tart at costa coffee! I think that was everything? After listing it all like that, I can see why I am so whacked! Not much more to do now, just my dad's present and DH's, the wrapping paper and cards (getting BHWT cards or trying to as their web site won't let me order them but have pm'd Buffie for help!) Decided to get their cards for obvious reasons but also to promote the BHWT amongst my friends, family and the neighbours Always makes me laugh when you get cards from the neighbours that say "To all at number 12 from all at number 7" etc, etc This time I'm putting all the girls' names on our cards too! That'll bamboozle "all at number 7"!

Guest
Gosh Poet, well done, your credit card must be worn out Tessa well, we stuck to a strict budget but when you add it all up, I daren't look! Thank god we don't have pay council tax in jan and feb! (not sure if other councils do the same but ours divide the tax by 10 which means we 2 free months which should just about cover most of it- well, I can kid myself )
Egluntyne
I went to Meadowhell today. I bought a pair of grape coloured Crocs for Him Indoors to surprise me with on Christmas Day! And some more Yankee Candles. The Sparkling Angel one is divine. Christmas Shopping well underway. Just the youngest boy to buy for. He is one of those refreshing types who never wants anything. I just hate the obscene 'rush to worship at the altar of consumerism' that Christmas has become.. and I'm not even religious myself. I love getting things for other people, but just don't understand the need to spend sooo much. Sorry to rant.
The Dogmother
One of you will have to bring along a Yankee candle next time we meet up so I can see what they smell like. Last Christmas, Phil gave me an Aveda Shampure candle - it is divine and I only light it on special occasions.
