chocchick
Sorry Choccster, just the thought of a confused vacuum cleaner freaking out had me in fits! It kind of "humps" things when it gets confused and makes various beeping noises/flashes lights. I sometimes come in to find a strange flashing and find that OH has left it on, and its battery has run down and it is stuck under a table flashing
Snowy
I need one purely for it's entertainment value!

The Dogmother
But where does all the dirt go? It looks to have a very small bag or cylinder
Egluntyne
I think you have to empty the "bin" every other time you use it.
Aunty e
Hang on, i saw this super-cheap somewhere (but OH made me buy a Vax instead ) Look under vacuum cleaners http://www.hienergyshop.co.uk/ProfileManagement/Home.aspx

Louise
You have to empty them reglularly but it can only run for about an hour then it needs to go back on charge for a bit so if you get into the habit of emptying it each time it goes onto the charger it isnt too bad and the mess just tips out I have problems with the brushes needing to be cleaned and it is cat hair getting wound round when it senses it is getting blocked it won't move till you clean the brushes but it only takes a few minutes to unclip them clean tham and pop them back far less time than to do the vacuuming yourself and to be honest it seems to be doing a better job than I ever do
chocchick
It is a tiny section. OH empties it about every time he uses it. You unclip part of it and tip in the bin. It is best for small amounts of dirt, it is good at brushing into the carpet and goes round for much longer than you would vacuum. You can make it do a small area with a "spot" clean. If I had to vacuum rubble e.g. plaster bits or if the kitchen floor had mud I would use a normal vac. If there were bits of surface dirt in the kitchen I would use it, and it's great on carpets. It has a blue dirt detector light that goes on if it finds dirt (much to the horror of OH's Mum ). Ours is currently on its back with the wheels in the air. It seems to spend a lot of time in-between cleaning like this with it's feet up!
Egluntyne
It seems to spend a lot of time in-between cleaning like this with it's feet up! Funny that...so do I. Which model is yours, Choccy?
chocchick
I don't know OH got it from America and it has a power adapter, it took about 3 attempts to get the power/charger sorted as the recommended one didn't work. I will ask OH.....

Egluntyne
Thanks....that's the basic model. Sorry...I didn't mean to be rude! It does look a bit stark in print! What I meant was it isn't the same as Louise's, which is the one I would be interested in. *grovel * *grovel* *grovel.*
Egluntyne
I've ordered one!! I've been pondering and reading up on it all week...weighing up all the positives and negatives. Well....it is my birthday next week and to be honest there is nothing else I really want (I'm very low maintenance).....apart from a few more hens maybe. I know it lets the sisterhood down a bit....getting a vacuum cleaner for your birthday....but I'm to old to care!
riane
ooo... Let me know how you get on with it..I could do with an easier vacuum system

MedusA
I know it lets the sisterhood down a bit....getting a vacuum cleaner for your birthday....but I'm to old to care! I know what you mean. I got a toaster for Christmas and was really thrilled! I bought a robotic vacuum cleaner from Scotts of Stow last year. It's called a Robomaxx. It doesn't look nearly so funky as this one and can be frustrating when it bumps into things and turns the "wrong" way to escape (it's not very bright really). I do find it very useful for picking up the poos from our houserabbit when I can't be bothered to do a full vacuum.
