Rolo Rabbit
Had a quick trip to Lidls this morning and found they have them for adults at either £2.99 or £4.99 (depending on what they're lined with ) and for children at £1.99 (I think?). The kids ones only seemed to go up to size 2 1/2 and the adults were supposed to be for men and started at size 7 but as I have quite big feet that's fine for me. I was really chuffed as I hate the palava of finding and dragging on wellies all the time.
Tara123
Thank you for posting this, I've been looking for some as I'm fed up with my slippers getting soggy in the mornings. I take it they are water proof?
BarbaraJ
i was thinking i could do with a pair of something rubber but i really don't like crocs , prob use flip flops in the summer
Tessa the Duchess
I don't like Crocs either. I have some 'cloggies' they are yellow, like chickens feet bought them in a garden centre. They are rubber/plastic, very quick to slip on and off. Tessa.
jomaxsmith
I used to have proper RHS garden clogs with a pretty sunflower print but they split really quickly, the ones i have now are Town & Country (from a garden centre, prob cost about £10 but were christmas present from mother-in-law!). They are great but the leather insoles ruck up as soon as I take them off which is annoying. I don't use my crocs in the garden in this weather because of the holes in the sides which would let dirt/water in! Jo
Rolo Rabbit
Yes they are waterproof - been well tested already today! I also used to have some cloggies but Rolo Rabbit (the original) got hold of them and they split straight down the front. The Lidls ones are not as posh but they're fine. And they are probably rubber not plastic.
Eyren
I don't use my crocs in the garden in this weather because of the holes in the sides which would let dirt/water in! That's why I have Crocs wellies and a pair of Endeavours (the Croc formerly know as Aspen) - perfect for muddy gardens
The Dogmother
I wear a pair of my crocs as slippers, with a pair of stripy handknitted socks.
Egluntyne
I don't use my crocs in the garden in this weather because of the holes in the sides which would let dirt/water in! That is where Crocs Wellies come in handy. They are marvellous.
feemcg
I wear my black Aspens in the garden - no holes
Cinnamon
That's why I have Crocs wellies and a pair of Endeavours (the Croc formerly know as Aspen) - perfect for muddy gardens Now,I am going to have to disagree with you there. Crocs are usless in the mud.The slip & skid all over the place. They are slip proof in water, but with mud,its the mud that slips, not the shoe. I have a nice pair of welly clogs with a big chunky tread for the mud & keep my Crocs for the house & the shops
hillfamily
I'm a croc girl through and through Was out in the garden yesterday in new Blue Georgie boots..........warm dry feet and no slip sliding about I also have an impressive collection of garden crocs just by the back door.........just takes a while to decide which pair to put on
Cinnamon
I didn't think of that actually - I just tried my usual Beaches in the mud,but I suspect the Georgies are built to deal with it

DW
I've had some of the Lidl clogs for a couple of years now and they're great! I bought them to replace some Hawkshead ones that were several times the price and lasted only a fraction of the time. In fact, we have about half a dozen pairs of these things (all sizes from 3 to 8 ) as my boys and their friends use them for getting from the back door to the trampoline. Much easier to get back on (having just decended the trampoline ladder) than trainers! D.
Tara123
Thanks again Rolo Rabbit. Went to Lidl today just to buy the clogs (nothing else was intended). Brought the pair of the clogs along with 3x5 metre poly tunnels, a chicken sign, a weather station and a door matt. Ended up spending over £20 instead of the £2.99 that was intended for the clogs It was definitely worth the trip though
