Yeehar!! Weight loss!!

Recommended Posts

I went for my first weigh in at Slimming World last night and I've lost 5lb in a week!! I'm so pleased! Specially as I've been munching more or less my own body weight in pasta most days, although I do feel like I'm turning in to a banana  One woman lost 8lb  which whilst it's fantastic is a heck of a lot to lose in one week, mind you, I'm only saying that cos I didn't lose that much. Anyway, juts thought I'd share the story of the incredible shrinking Bertie!

WELL DONE YOU!

Don't even think about trying to match me - I'm sure you don't have a spare TEN STONE to lose which is what I had when I started.

Glad to hear its going well - I envy you eating all that pasta.

We will need to see before and after photos soon!

Well done Mrs.B - that's great news! :D

I never do well on bananas, they're not a good fruit for me if I need to lose some weight, I have to eat more apples :? I love bananas :( Luckily, they've started to give me indigestion so it is easier for me to avoid them :D

Well done Mrs B.

I am at Weigh"Ooops, word censored!"chers, & have decided that half the battle with weight loss is getting it right in your head.

If I am in the right frame of mind to eat healthily, not cheat & not guzzle wine, then I am fine.

Happily I have been there for the past 10 weeks & have now lost 21lbs 8)

I am enjoying eating really delicious, fresh, home cooked, healthy food & my family have too....not that they are on the plan, they just get a bigger portion

I also like planning my meals ahead so I know every day what I will be eating & cooking & where I can treat myself if I feel like it.

I hope you contine to do well Mrs B, & I am always here for a chat if you need me :P:P:P

I think you've hit the nail on the head there. The counselling I have been getting and the group support has really helped me to get it right in my head. I really think it will help me to overcome the biggest battle which I have yet to face - eating again!

I am filled with admiration for those of you who can follow weight watchers etc as I've always failed quickly on those programmes and felt very unsupported. I always start with the best of intentions - I think that this time I'll win slimmer of the year, be in the magazine etc. Actually I'm definately going to keep the weight off - just to get into the lighterlife magazine!

Well done Mrs Bertie

(and Sarah and all those out there wanting to lose weight).

I have managed to loose 2 stone just by cutting out most of the rubbish that I used to eat and doing more excercise - it's been tough (specially walking past the chip shop or bakers) but I do feel masses better.

Its not a question of being thin - its a question of feeling happier, fitter, less out of puff.

For all of you out there who want to lose some weight you know that ther are masses more like you here on Omlet who can give you the support you need

:D

Well done Mrs B and Cinammon! I'm considering Weigh"Ooops, word censored!"chers now that the bump has hatched, but got a pleasant surprise yesterday when I weighed myself and discovered that I actually weigh one stone LESS than I did the day I found out I was pregnant with Iain. So, less than three weeks after giving birth, I've had to buy new jeans, becuase my old pre-pregnancy jeans are too BIG!!! :D:D:D:D:D:D
