Aylana
Because I have no money and am on the verge of financial doom! But if I win the lottery any time soon, it will be the first thing I buy
Martin B
The first thing I would buy is a house for my family with enough room for eglus, ducklus, hamlus and rablus!
AnnieP
Just shown OH: His response: "What right minded chicken is going to want to live in a house that looks like a giant dog t*rd"? I wouldn't have THAT on my lawn. *Disclaimer. I think he would say something detrimental about ANY colour Eglu that I happened to show him as a mechanism for putting off the inevitable...."Pleeeeaaaase can we have one....?" Cinnamon
I really like it - it looks nice & natural. Although my first choice would still be orange

ali-s
Hmmm. I'm afraid I do not like it. As someone here said when I was condsidering a brown plastic ark.... brown is a non colour. It looks like a giant mole hill. Might appeal to a more manly taste however. An army combat colour would have been nicer, swirls of brown, green and beige to blend in with the garden. Or how about football club theme. Omlet could sell badges of football clubs that you could stick on the Eglu..... red for Liverpool, blue for Chelsea etc. Is this a late April fools joke? PurpleHen
I quite like it - but it would be better PURPLE.......
Cinnamon
I must admit that it looks much better in the newletter photo than in the photo posted here. The newsletter pic makes it look a nice deep rich reddy brown.........but on this thread it looks a little ordinary. It should appeal to men though Obviously they have saved announcing this until today...chocolate Eglu on Easter Sunday. I wonder if they have any more suprises in store for us? AnnieP
Well, of course, if its a religious theme, the colour of Lent is PURPLE, so they've missed that one How about if we all put in a "pre-production" order for purple? I wonder how many deposits they'd need before they seriously considered it?
Mrs Frugal
I rather like it and think it would look lovely alongside my pea green one, hint hint..........
Popcorn
I like it too, and I think it's good to have the choice of a 'non bright' colour. I think it will appeal to more men too. I would have considered it over my green one
Jacky
I like it too, and agree with you Gina it would be a good choice of a non- bright colour. Although then i would have had to make my mind up brown or green and it might have taken some time. So glad really i didn't have a choice
Martin B
There seem to be many mixed opinions on the new colour!
Popcorn
That's why lots of choice is good Martin!
Chicken on a mission
How boring would this world be if everyone liked the same thing? The eglu wouldn't even exist in the first place
Martin B
Yer, I think lots of choice is good but lots of people like it and some hate it. A bit like marmite!
AnnieP
I think that's what we should call it: The Marmite Eglu. Well done Martin!
Cate in NZ
Oh no, I quite liked it until you called it that. Suddenly I've gone off it . Decided I'll wait until they produce a purple one.... and I'd like one for more hens please, perhaps they could invent stackable eglus, a bit like lego bricks, but for hen accomodation. When it gets to more than 4 storeys you could then get an optional lift package Or a Stannah style chair lift for chooks. I think it could work, fit in high rise hens without giving over too much of my garden to eglus. Do you think the Omlet team will go for it

Sheilaz
I'd vote for that! I don't neeeeed a new Eglu, but I can imagine getting a mark3 one day if it was purple. Then I'd have room to take some ex battery chooks I think the brown was a good idea. But, purple would be very attractive to potential new customers, I'm sure.
