Clur
I've been away for a little bit after a stint in hopital with viral meningitis. First day back home and it's cheering me up no end reading all the posts. Hoping I'll be ok to start back to work next week, so intend to catch up while I can
Helly Welly
Gosh Clur, i hope you are feeling much better now It'll take you ages to catch up on here, you'll be seeing red arrows in your sleep.

Egluntyne
Ditto...I had it many years ago too. A never to be forgotten headache. I do hope you are feeling much better. Mind all those red arrows don't make you feel nauseated.! All the best.
Clur
...like I have a huge hangover, but without the fun beforehand! Tiggy, Eglutine, did it take you long to get over it? I know viral is the best one to pick up, but my memory and concentration are shot to pieces at the moment. Still getting nasty headaches too. It's been just over a week. Cinnamon
Goodness Clur, I do hope you make a quick recovery - it sounds vile I am sure some R & R will help, & the forum is just the place for that
Egluntyne
I was in hospital for about 10 days, and was wobbly for about a month in total. I found it difficult to concentrate when reading for a while afterwards, that is all.
Tiggy
I cant remember how long I was in hospital, had the whole lumbar puncture thing on a trolly in A&E & some helpful person kept turning the light on it took a good few weeks for me to recover enough to go back to work but I felt totally washed out for a few months Sorry
Snowy
Gosh Clur, that sounds nasty, glad to hear you are on the mend! Don't rush back to work too soon though, give yourself time to recuperate!

theherd123
Clur im so sorry to hear you have been so ill, its not much fun at all is it? Im glad you are at home and on the road to recovery but do take as long as you need before returning to work otherwise it will take you twice the time to feel like your old self again. Do take care
Treekeeper
Don't go back too soon or you will regret it. Take all the time the docs recommend your body does need it to recover fully. Glad you are feeling better. Take some Omeopathic time out and sit in the sun with a big hat and shades and watch the chooks. Oh and a big glass of something cool Edited May 6, 2008 by Guest

Clur
I cant remember how long I was in hospital, had the whole lumbar puncture thing on a trolly in A&E & some helpful person kept turning the light on it took a good few weeks for me to recover enough to go back to work but I felt totally washed out for a few months Sorry The lumbar puncture took 3 people with several attempts each before a fourth came to the rescue. Never want to go through that again, more painful than giving birth Do feel washed out and have spoken to my boss who is fine with me going back to work when I'm ready. May try to go back a few hours a day from next week, but going to take your advice and play it by ear. Edited May 6, 2008 by Guest
