chooklady
We have finished the run, just in the nick of time!! 7.30pm tonight, Omlet are coming between 9.30 and 11.30 tomorrow!! Abby and I have worked so hard today. Chris finished the doors when he arrived home. The gate to the right of the run is going to have to be improved but as they won't be coming out of the run for a few days we can sort that out at the weekend. Here it is! chooklady
Thanks everyone (thanks Lisa, I look forward to your mail) There certainly has been some blood, sweat and tears over the last few weeks. We got off to a really good start 5 weekends ago but it's amazing how quickly time catches up with you, a couple of rainy days at the weekend and you get so far behind! As you can see from the time I am not sleeping. My legs ached so much last night and it's not because I'm usually lazy! They still ache now and I've been awake since 4am so I've had a cup of tea and a couple of Nurofen! I would say I'd go back to bed but hubby will be getting up in half and hour so it's a case of Tuesday starts here I think. Abby and I are taking the dog out at 8 so he's not too hyper when they arrive. Then we are off to buy the other 4 chooks as soon as they have gone. We will leave the others in peace for an hour so to calm down and get used to their new home. I will post some photos later of our feathered friends. Jules.
Lovely run. Having had help making my own run I now appreciate all the hard work that goes into them.
Barkisland
Lovely run! Have just shown it to my husband who is in the process of building ours, and he was impressed. We have been beset by problems with ours, dreadful weather firstly, and then the realisation that the ground where we plan to site the run is on a slope and 16" higher at one end than the other. We have a deadline of 5th September to meet, so fingers crossed for some decent weather between now and then!

Mumpty
I hope mine looks that good when it's finished, I love all the toys, they'll have a ball. What have you used on the floor?
chooklady
The floor covering is 8 bags of wood chip from B&Q and a bale of Hemcore. They seem to like it.
