missuscluck
Hi all, Been away on a camping holiday and I have fallen for the 'charms' of Crocs. I apologise to the 'Anti Crocs' on the forum. I can no longer be in your gang. My girls have been croc wearers for a bit and took them camping with us. We were camped at Great Dorset Steam fair and someone was selling Crocs and amazingly I found myself thinking it would be a good idea to buy some as it was hot and sunny (yes, you did read that right!) and I thought they would be good for slipping on and off to nip out from the tent to the loos. So....I am now the 'proud' owner of some lilac caman Crocs with a few jibbits in. SORRY. I promise I will only wear them camping and in the garden. Egluntyne
Woo hoo! Another convert. If I can get Him Indoors into a pair then anyone is convertable eventually. Like missuscluck, he would only wear them around the house and garden at first.....bur I've noticed him benturig out in them a couple of times.....and believe me, there is no more conservative dresser than him. Or the Great Dorset Steam Fair was held abroad (where it really is "hot and sunny").

Guest
Sorry, but I've gone right off my crocs (lovely pinky-pink Scutes), after I slipped and went my length in them one day (so much for the 'non-slip' aspect of crocs......)
buffie
I use mine in the garden now and wear to slip off before I put wellies on. I love my sketchers Buffie x
Cinnamon
Sorry, but I've gone right off my crocs (lovely pinky-pink Scutes), after I slipped and went my length in them one day (so much for the 'non-slip' aspect of crocs......) Mine are useless in mud,but then its the mud that slips, not the Crocs. We also have a really slippy new path, which is lethal when its wet & you are wearing Crocs. I still love them though
chelsea
Sorry, but I've gone right off my crocs (lovely pinky-pink Scutes), after I slipped and went my length in them one day (so much for the 'non-slip' aspect of crocs......) I agree, please be very careful everyone. I sprained my ankle slipping in the garden in my crocs then 2 weeks later I fell down the stairs! BarbaraJ
Sorry can't see me being converted they remind me too much of kids jelly shoes which i hated. LOL @ hubbys wearing them , mine never goes without socks ever so the thought of crocs and socks got myself a lovely pair of hush puppies for walking on holiday though! quite trendy and i thought they were old ladies shoes!! well actually suppose i'm not young lol
Gamebird
I had never heard of Crocs until I joined this forum. I finally succumbed when I bought a dusky pink pair in the summer sales and now I can't stop wearing them They're soooo comfortable. Hubby refuses to wear Crocs because he reckons they're girls shoes but has discovered something similar which he finds really useful when he goes sailing (they don't mark the boat and give good grip). They're called *Sharx*
Phonix
Nope sorry I will NOT be converted! xXx
missuscluck
Good for you. Keep the flag flying for the 'croc haters' I hang my head in shame for joining the 'dark side'
little chickadee
I converted a while back and havn't worn anything else since! I'e got really wide feet so it's always been really difficult to find shoes which are comfortable. Hubby really really hates the winter ones though, so don't know what I'll do when it gets a bit colder!
bokbokbok
May I ask the croc-haters-who-will-not-be-converted if they have: 1. Tried to wear them but never got to grips with them or 2. Can't even the thought of trying them but just KNOW you hate them ?
Tessa the Duchess
May I ask the croc-haters-who-will-not-be-converted if they have: 1. Tried to wear them but never got to grips with them or 2. Can't even the thought of trying them but just KNOW you hate them ? I am a confirmed Croc hater! I have never tried to wear them. They are clumpy, overpriced and plastic!!!! I have also never worn a pair of trainers and never will. Tessa

I have also never worn a pair of trainers and never will. Tessa They're not made of plastic, they're made of PCCR, which is a type of resin. I do agree about the price though, hence I'm now on the look out for ones in the sale! Only certain types of crocs are clumpy though, there are a lot of other styles now. My friend is also a croc hater, but said, 'Hey, you're not wearing crocs' when I was wearin my pair of crocs athens flip flops!
lisa33
I've never tried to wear them as I think they look hideous. No offence to croc wearers but Sorry.
bokbokbok
Can *I* just say that I AM a croc wearer but one of the ones who wont pay full price for the real ones - I buy the fiver version, (thought they were silly looking until I tried a pair on!) have now got about 4 pairs and have converted everyone in the house to them without saying a word! Hubby wears them round the house but wont venture outside in them! If the cheapy versions were discontinued I would HAVE to think about going for the branded ones. Do I still count as a croc wearer then?
RubyReckless
I'm proper branded ones all the way. Other than the Next ones, the imitation crocs my kids have worn were nothing like the real thing - rubbed, left blisters, were really plasticky. The proper Crocs (and the Next version to a lesser extent) are so much softer and more comfortable. my 3 kids have worn nothing else on their feet all summer once I gave in, binned the fakes and bought the real ones. I have had a pair of bog standard black crocs for a couple of years, a pair of bright Mary Janes and this year bought the flipflops which were even comfier than my beloved Birkenstock sandals.
