Redwing
Oh, they are really great - thats fab! I dont know why they didn't do food shops earlier, it must have boosted their profits as they are terribly popular. Shop away!

Cinnamon
Lucky you I don't have a local one.....Henley would be the PERFECT spot for one & would do a cracking trade Tesco Express seem to pop up everywhere at the moment though
little chickadee
Lucky you We've got a big M&S in the centre of town, so we don't need one, but there is one near OH's parents at a garage and is a very welcome stop! I love it when I turn up at a motorway services and see one there as I know that I can have something nice to eat which won't feel like a brick in my stomach and leave my pores sweating grease! Yolky
Oh my, if I had one in walking distance I would put on a stone within the month. M&S food is so yum!

Ain't Nobody Here
I bought one of their "meal for 2 for a tenner" yesterday . Very nice it was too, especially the sticky toffee pudding .
redhotchick
Sorry, I just don't get why people like M&S food. I can never find what I want in there. They don't sell "just meat". It's all prepared dishes, and it's expensive! That said, their ready meal curries used to be the best (haven't had them in a while)
KimmyCustard
Spent £1.99 on a few runner beans in there last week cos I was too lazy to queue in Tesco next door! Having said that, they were delish and not a ropey one amongst them. Like their kitchen roll with nice pics on too (is that weird?!) craftyhunnypie
We are popping ours in Crewe today to get a meal deal! The wine alone is normally £5.99! Got to get the chicken food from Taylors too - Sunday dinners all round! Emma.x
susanbb
I bought one of their "meal for 2 for a tenner" yesterday . Very nice it was too, especially the sticky toffee pudding . It's such good value and delicious too. We'd like to try the risotto that they're advertising at the mo
Redwing
I have just got in from a very long day. My husband just said to me 'I could only get the very expensive pizzas in M&S' I think i'll live. I love him.
craftyhunnypie
We had meal deal for tea tonight. Some baby pototoes in mint & parsley butter. Beef meatballs in a tomato & cheese sauce. Bottle of Merlot & Spotted dick, soon to be consumed with custard. I really enjoyed my tea tonight! Emma.x

Seagazer
I'm a bit upset with M & S at the moment. They used to do a lovely little pot of creme caramel. It had scrummy, chewy caramel at the bottom. The whole family were addicted to them. But they appear to have changed them now and its just runny caramel. We are all gutted. The rest of their food is quite nice though.
sparkysmum
Don't want to be negative but.............We are getting a M&S foodie place at the end of the year. It's being built just now. It's likely our once thriving high st will all but close down. When Tesco's came our little co op closed and an independant "corner shop" also closed. M&S will probably close the rest Allison

Egluntyne
TBH most of the family run local shops have already been wiped out by Tesco. I am hoping that this branch of Simply Food will give the local Tesco a run for its money, and as parking has to be addressed by them, more people will come to toe area. The general feeling locally is that it will liven up the Banner Cross area and bring customers in. We shall see.
Jillus
Oh dear! I must be a bit sad as they opened an Aldi in St Andrews two weeks ago and I Simpy love it The frozen boil in the bag Lamb Shanks are wonderful and the Beef Wellington is also fab for a real treat and all a great deal cheaper than M&S, mind you I do also love M&S, in fact I am a real food tart! Cold meats are every bit as good as Tesco and the like.
