Got a firm coming Monday to see about the bird guard for the chimneys, as for me, there is a bottle of bubbly chilling in the fridge for 5 o'clock!

 

I just wonder if the now very grey dove will ever become white again, I cleaned her eyes and beak and nostrils (?) but decided I might do more damage if i washed her, she has spent the day preening since her rescue.

Hi, Hopefully the chimney people will be here tomorrow although the sweep did say it was a million to one chance, after all this is the first bird ever to have come down our chimney in 20 years, but maybe they are not all as dumb as my white doves!

 

It is great having her back although she looks very grubby still. I put a shallow bath out this morning with a tiny drop of Dove shower milk ( hee hee) in it and she has duly bathed but it does not seem to have made much diffference.

 

It is just great having her back after 48 hour I had thought she was a gonner.
