BeckyBoo
It's fab, never mind Indian Summer, this is the ONLY summer Makes everyone much nicer to each other. Mind you, it's my working week and they weren't all being very nice to each other LAST night after pub chucking out time. I would LOVE to be having a glass of something nice and cool, still, at least the girls and boys are all out dustbathing - my garden looks like a chicken chainsaw massacre - lots of hens sprawled about in various states of unkemptness Mrs B

ali-s
It is beautiful here as well Lots of washing dried including the dogs bedding and cuddly toys. The Yorkshire girls and the Scottish Bantams have been freeranging together for the first time without any agro At one point Archie dog and the Bantams were sunbathing together Shame I have to go to work at 4.30pm I would much rather be sitting in the garden with my feathery and furry friends. jlo
I think that I can claim some credit for all this good weather. You'll recall how some Omleteers suggested that their deciding to put washing out made it rain during August? Well ... I have closed up the pool and put away all the garden furniture - so it had to be a good end of September
Seagazer
It has been glorious here. We were at archery this afternoon. It is set in parklands by an old mansion house with a lake behind us. We were watching dragonflies and butterflies flying around - lovely. A perfect afternoon.

Ooooh, I wonder if I know where you were for the archery. Our ex-next door neighbours used to do a fair bit of archery, in a place that sounds fairly similar to your description . Although I suppose the description is pretty broad, probably could be almost anywhere. Glorious weather here too, I'm loving it now that the rain has finally stopped and the sun's out

Is that right or did I imagine it? We lived in Dartford for about 10 years. We live in Sidcup and we play (ok I've only done it once but YS has done it more) at The Rose Bruford (sp) College. It backs onto The Glades, really nice.

I can remember skating on the lake in the winter. Now we often walk the dog there and the children ride their bikes all the way around. Cate in NZ
Hi there, yes, I lived in Dartford, Joydens Wood to be precise . Lived in that area for over 20 years (although we did move from the Bexley end of Joydens Wood to the Dartford end sort of half way through our time in the area....adventurous or what ). I know Rose Bruford College, never actually been in there though.
