Omletina Kyckling
I live in an old farmhouse and at the moment we are working on doing up the master bedroom....we can only do it as and when Guy is here as he works in Sweden (but not for long from what we heard yesterday!) Anyway, I was fed up of it looking such a mess, so I decided to have a go at the window seat. I bought some curtains which I liked (good old Dunelm Mills!) then managed to get a length of matching fabric, so I've made a seat pad and matching cushions.... Here they are Every time I walk in the room, I want to find a book and hide behind the curtains....it must be reading Jane Eyre at an early age which makes me think that! I'm actually not generally good with a sewing machine, I used to have a business making handmade mohair artist teddy bears before I got the arthritis but had to do it all by hand as I never mastered the machine, but I was really pleased with how my window cushions turned out! Mrs Frugal
Diane ! That's terrific . Looks like a perfect hideaway place for reading or snoozing, doesn't it. I like the material very much indeed.

Olly
That's gorgeous! I've always wanted a window-seat, don't know quite why but there's something very attractive about the idea of lounging around watching the world go by!

A chickychickychick-ENN!!
Proper cosy! My neighbours had a bay window when I was small and we used to hide there for hours. Who says you need to grow up about these things, ever? It's lovely! Anna x

AJuff
Your window seat looks fantastic, so appealing. Can i ask what you used for filling the long seat cushion? You see I have a long bench I'd like a cushion for . . . whne I get the time.
Omletina Kyckling
Hi, It's a piece of upholstery foam, about 1-2" thick. They sell foam at Dunelm mill amongst other places. Have fun!
