Ardene5
Hi It is nice to hear that the frost are coming. As it is great caravanning in that type of weather, just ensure the water pipes do not freeze! I remember a few years ago, a cold night in the caravan, low flame from the gas in the blue bottle so changed to propane red bottle and got the heat up in the tourer. Moved the water to inside the van and was glad I did as in the morning there had been a very hard frost and the waste water was frozen. That the fun of caravanning it's even better when it snows! Christian
Absolutely freezin' last night. Had to light the fire again. Lesley
Cold here last night as well - and our heating came on all by itself Christian I let Jake pick all the runner beans yesterday - before the frost got to them.
Christian
I let Jake pick all the runner beans yesterday - before the frost got to them. You really think there will be a frost soon? It was 5C last night, but I hope we don't have frost yet. Mt beans are just coming good after the rabbit attack
Lesley
We were up at 5.30 yesterday to take the pigs off and had an air frost - probably the same this morning........some of my beans were a bit black around the edges, so I'd say 'yes'
Helly Welly
If you go on Metcheck you can see a frost forecast for your area, it's on the menu on the left hand side of the screen. There is a good chance of a ground frost tonight, at least here anyway.
Egluntyne
I could certainly see my breath this morning at 7.30-ish when I was shifting cars to make room for the tree surgeon. Absolutely gorgeous day now though.
chickencam
I think it was about 2 degrees here at dawn, it was only 11 degrees in our bedroom when I got up brrr
Plum
You dont need a tree surgeon to get the leaves off the trees in autumn Egluntine they come off by themselves if you leave them.

Blackrocksrock
We are 3 degrees at the moment and had hail showers and snow showers this morning and afternoon and there is a dusting of snow on Ben Rinnes - very early for us.
susanbb
I've just put some stuff in the recycling box outside. All I can say is, "Chilly"
mostin
I have now added a woolley hat to my chicken feeding/watching outfit and wore it for the first time this morning when I let them out. Very Chilly . No wonder they were whittering at me, but I did bring them warm porridge so I think that makes up for it
Ardene5
On returning to the car after the Blackpool football match we discovered that the sensor was showing a high of 2 degree at 2.30 p.m. The Blackpool Football match had an early start today of 12.30 not the usual 3 o clock kick off. It has not stopped raining / sleeting or hailing since mid afternoon here at Preesall and it is still doing something now. We are very glad we managed to make a large covered walk in run which has opaque pvc sheeting / wire mesh sides. We have notice there is a weather warning The Midlands of heavy rain so we hope that all hens are safe and well. Egluntyne
2.50 am you say? I don't know which is more shocking.....that fact that you were setting out at that ungodly hour or the fact that you had to s"Ooops, word censored!"e your windscreen. Blimey.
