kannie
Our toilets already have a low flush option - problem is that its not very efficient at flushing! So I'm a bit reluctant to use these....
Nicola H
I can't seem to order mine the site keeps going down every time I try to submit my details..................
Charlottechicken
As an immediate measure you can fill a 1 litre container with water (a small plastic pop bottle works well) and place it in your cistern, you will then see if your toilet can cope with a low flush. Chicken on a mission
A great idea and worth doing although we have a half flush option on the most used toilet in the house and the upstairs one could cope with using any less water - if you know what I mean

Dark_Storm_01
All the things they talk about has been brought up by my father, who is on the Regeneration Board, and 2 other committees about this. Our council Estate is being redeveloped by a Housing Association. As I have said in another post. So far we have suggested. Solar Panels and Solar Heaters Rainwater storers for the toilets Better insulation (i.e. above the legal minimum) Double Glazing Israeli Style Dual Flush Toilets (which are very nicely designed) We've even suggested that they ccould put loads of the mini windmills on the Rooftops. We will be getting water meters though. Do you think they care - not a dog's chance! I doubt any of this will be implemented - so it'll be yet another environmentally unfriendly Estate, but then I think its Barrets building our new homes, so I dooub't it'll even last that long! We know that there will be undercroft carparks, and hopefully there'll be decent sized gardens for the ground floor appartments (they were talking about 20 - 30 foot long by however wide the flat is, but I doubt this) and balconies for all appartments form the 1st (or 2nd if they are masionettes). So, in 6 - 8 years time the Estate should look new, vibrant and hopefully be more eco friendly.. I just hope that the suggestions are implemented
