Toilet Paper Is No Substitute For....

Recommended Posts

....Tissues!

Do NOT use toilet paper to blow your nose if you have the flu/cold. Toilet paper is too co"Ooops, word censored!" for the job! (my nose is all cut and bleeding now :()

A Fred public service announcement

Agreed.

And don't even get me started on kitchen roll! :talk2hand::notalk:

Not only that, it falls apart when wet so you get little rolled up bits of yucky tissue all over you. Urgh!

We breed 'em tough up here and use Izal. They still sell it in Tesco

:shock::shock::shock:

Izal is also known as tracing paper for those who have never heard of it!

I still remember being sent into the toilets at first school for some sheets of that to use in class when the teacher had run out of tracing paper  .

And no I didn't go to school in the dark ages, I'm only 31  .

:D Oh that has made me chuckle, I remember Izal ... cheap, and strong but VERY rough on the, er, delicate parts.

It has to be the balsam tissues, I always suffer more from a sore nose than anything else when I have a cold as I've got quite sensitive skin.

We have a tube of Drapolene still lurking in the drawer, which we use to sooth sore snozzles. Wonderful stuff & as it's pink it doesn't show up like a huge attention grabbing beacon!

My dad always has a pocketful of blue towel (and a very sore nose!!) - now that stuff is evil!!

Hope you feel better soon Fred, I detect the start of a sniffle here & have stocked up on the Kleenex cold & flu tissues - lovely!!

You have my sympathy Fred :D Luckily mine still seems to be just a cold but YS has had upset tummy since Sunday, a rash and now he's woken up with a stuffed up nose and very red eyes - bless.

I would like to know how they ever thought that Izal was any good as a toilet paper though? My FIL used to use it. They had to have two seperate lots of toilet paper, nice stuff for the rest of the family and Izal for him - very strange :?

I usually have a balsalm tissue for blowing my nose, lovely.
