Guest
But the view is sooo delightful! Not sure this photo actually does justice to the view from my livingroom window today, and just how heavy the snow actually is, but.. And this is the view we woke to on Sunday morning, as the frost lay thick from 48 hours of freezing fog.

Valkyrie
I'm so glad I saw this after going down the garden to put the girls in the run in T shirt and summer skirt. Now I feel cold! I love the second pic - what a beautiful colour blue.

jlo
Over the hill and round the bend looks like a pretty chilly place! Beautiful pics though. Like Koojie ( who only lives about a mile and half away from me) I was down the garden in a T-shirt today. Not for long though!

mostin
It started snowing here in leeds an hour ago. It's coming down thick and fast and seems to be settling. I'm having those thoughts like when you were a kid. Please please please let it snow so much that I can't get to school tomorrow. (now work of course). Wouldn't it be great, a snow day to play with the chooks .

Now we need the Die Hard film on the box and we'll be off again.

The Dogmother
We are supposed to be having 6" snow and blizzard conditions overnight and tomorrow here, according to the local radio station. I was talking this mornng to a colleague in Northwick - they have the same severe weather warning. No snow here yet - it has been a lovely sunny day but ever so cold, the frost is still there in the shade.

Blackrocksrock
In the last hour it has gone from minus 3.6 to plus 0.6 so snow is on its way and the wind has picked up so I believe it will snow - One of the cats went out and then came back in quickly too and the birds were going mad to-day for the sunflowers and peanuts and fat we had out and we had an army of fieldfares raging about in the garden and trying to chase the blackbirds away. Lesley
I've had BBC Breakfast on since I got up and I can't believe all the hype over the weather! Anyone would think we were getting snow in August Yes, it's snowing, yes, it's worse in the north of the country and yes, roads are blocked......... but, we were fore-warned and it is WINTER! I wonder how many schools are closed today purely because someone listened to a forecast and had to make an early decision - our forecast was for snow - we have had sleety rain......
