Lewis
I attempted one yesterday but it took about 5 mins to cook and was runny so I'll have to try again
Reikiranf
I may give this a go on Wednesday, after I've been to slimming world Thanks for the tip about using less oil as the amount of oil in it was putting me off. Has anyone tried it with butter instead of oil?
Chook n Boo Mum
Not sure.......... but you can & let us know the results Sha x
Reikiranf
I thought I'd try the basic recipe first before I tried tweaking it, It was very oily & I wasn't that impressed with the texture although it tasted nice. But I feel a bit now, though that could just be because I've used nearly 3 days worth of Syns on it, it works out to 41 syns The recipe said flour but didn't say whether it was plain or self raising, I used plain so that may be where I went wrong, I may try to make a lower syn version but to be honest I'm not sure it's worth bothering. I could have had 6 bars of chocolate for that amount of syns, not that I'd eat 6 bars but I'm just trying to give you an idea of what the pud equates to in Slimming World terms! Lewis
I always put less oil in than it says, and use SR flour - make sure you use a big enough mug otherwise it all rises and goes all over the microwave
Chook n Boo Mum
Would that be the voice of experience Lewis ? I don't have any big mugs which can go in the microwave, so I use a small pudding bowl......oooodddles of room for expansion & cream and no mess to clear up either ! The Dogmother
Rosie sometimes makes this, and after an initial mess, she always does it in a pudding bowl or pyrex measuring jug.
Valkyrie
We have some rather big Disney mugs - seems to be just about right! Now OH bought some "Friends" mugs from the Hospice shop the other day - could be better as they are wider at the top. Now I feel the urge coming on (I was walking round yesterday saying I need something with chocolate!).
The Dogmother
Hmmm, I am making my chocolate truffles tonight (if I get time) might have to save some chocolate for that....
