The Dogmother
I used to have a magpie cat, who thieved anything shiny, but this is even funnier... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1093194/Frankie-feline-exposed-cat-burglar-stealing-toys-neighbours-homes.html

The Dogmother
Millie (RIP) used to bring in drink can pulls, shiny sweet wrappers, bits of s"Ooops, word censored!" metal... anything shiny. The two current incumbents bring in mice (dead and alive), voles, newts and birds (dead and alive)

Joojoo
Sammy (RIP) used to collect up soft toys that I had in a box in my bedroom and deposit them at the closed nursery door when I was pregnant . It was almost as if she was building a nest. When Ashley was born, she used to sleep across his closed door. She also used to bring in the elastic bands that Postmen have a habit of chucking around all over the place. Then one day she brought in a live one - a punctured worm
Lydia
My cat Minty went through a stage of stealing brushes (paint brushes, pastry brushes, my cake brushes, any type she could find) and depositing them in my husband's shoes The best one was our other cat, Meg, who once came home with a fresh turkey, cranberry and stuffing pie bought from Sainsburys that day (we know this because she also thought to bring the wrapper!). We've never liked to ask which of our neighbours shopped at Sainsburys

She never brought it home and we never dared to ask around to find out where it had come from Cats!! You've got to love them
Yorkshire Pudding
Marmite had a thing for cotton buds and would scale the bathroom sink to reach the shelf where they lived. They would be fetched down in her mouth in twos or threes, then disembowelled before being hidden under the bath mat. If she couldn't reach the clean ones she would tip the bin over to find used ones and play with those !
BarbaraJ
Our lost cat was a dead animal boy but lilly loves hairbands , thongs , tie wrap, fluffy pencils/pens and all time favourite socks!! and she makes that noise they make as if to say 'look what i brought you' lol
Ain't Nobody Here
Cuddly toys I could live with but nappy sacks . (Were they full or empty ?)
Janty
My Whiskas used to be known as Chunky by one set of neighbours. Every night he would go through their cat flap, chase their cats out, eat the cats food and then lie on the settee with the neighbours, being petted. KimmyCustard
What a great cat! Our cat used to bring in live birds and mice (and promptly let them go). However, in the last 2 months she has managed to realise she's a cat and not a vegetarian tree hugger (as OH calls her) and killed everything she's bought in! This included a robin after she had let it go and then chased it all up the stairs, shedding brown feathers as it went. Shes also 'too posh to push' and has to have the catflap lifted if she wants to go out! Bless.
Couperwife
how funny I wonder where he got the 15 toy leopards I can just imagine: "ive got a lovely leopard fom my friend - she will be really upset if I lose it" "oh, ive lost it, I really liked it, I need another" repeat 2nd line - 15 times cathy x
Minnie the Moocher
What a great story, and it reminds me of my Granny's Siamese cat who was a seasoned thief. He once brought home someone's half finished knitting complete with needles! One Sunday my own cat once brought home a half-carved leg of lamb. I was too to make enquiries and I'm ashamed to admit that I let him eat it for his tea.

Chickvic
There are some cats out there! Mine have left a few dead birds in the garden and delivered dead mice (almost onto my foot! ) My big ginger boy did have a habit of bringing in live frogs to chase round the living room
..lay a little egg for me
My parents had a siamese kitten who would raid visitors cars if they had left the window open and leave the things he had found on the front doorstep so that when Mum & Dad opened the door to let the visitor out there would be a pile of their driving gloves, maps, rags for wiping the windscreen etc etc displayed in front of them My own cats have stuck to wildlife of various sizes from vanishingly small shrews to ridiculously overoptimistic mallards! (couldn't get that one through the cat-flap!). My previous cat's crowning glory was bringing in a birds nest complete with an unbroken egg in it. (A sparrow's nest I think). Minnie the Moocher
Oh yes, and I almost forgot that the cat we lost to old age a couple of months ago once left two dead mice, one on each pile of sorted washing to go in the machine. The mouse on the darks pile was tucked inside a pair of pants. I was just pleased to find that one before the darks went through a cycle
sarah-w
Ha Ha, my friend lives next to a school and her cat would regularly come home with packets of sandwiches (still wrapped ) that she thinks he was stealing from the security guards hut
Phonix
one of my cats steals socks off the clothes airer (that she insists on sleeping on and often falls through the holes! lol) and drags them around the house whilst yelling at the top of her lungs. And every night without fail both of them carry their toys around the house yelling and will find them anywhere; their bed, a box, under the sofa or in a bag - they always manage to find them and leave them somewhere highly treaturous for you in the morning!
