Purplemaniacs
Oh no. We got Ivory and Latte from Merrydale Poultry, Karen the lady there is so helpful and knowledgable. What a shock for her and the stolen birds. Chrissie

Ain't Nobody Here
That's terrible . How on earth does someone go about getting 150 chickens to go anywhere, let alone where they presumably don't want to go . Not to mention how on earth they think they have the right to just steal them .
Janty
Poor Karen. She's so lovely. We got our original girls from her as well as our other hybrids last year.

Karen & co.
That's dreadful Why do some people think they can take what doesn't belong to them? Karen x
Larkspurs
Grrrr! Some people make me mad! So sorry to hear about this devastating news. I absolutely hate the injustice of it all when helpful folk are victimised like this! John
Patricia W
Surely whoever has them will need to advertise them for sale? We'll all have to keep an eye on our local ads. Or maybe they were stolen to order - it beggars belief ...
Barkisland
They sound extremely organised. Robbing gits

enpekt
This pastime is becoming big business, as proven here, unless it's some sort of misguided activists? No, it's just money, thieving rogues. Hopefully the drugs they buy will kill them. Or is it diddicoys? at least they'll eat or sell the eggs. But how will they treat these lovely chickens? Not well, methinx. Hard luck, Karen, you deserve better.
Fizzle Knit
That's awful. I've had hens from Merrydale and buy all my supplies from there, Karen doesn't deserve this.
abwsco
Dreadful I've also just read that the place I got my Sussex etc from had 700 stolen two weeks ago Also, it's apparently a big weekend of poultry sales
MedusA
How awful! Poor Karen. I was planning to go there soon to look for new girls. I do hope the chooks are OK. I suppose it's just wishful thinking to hope the scum that stole them ever get caught. *sigh*
Plum
Its terrible. At least if they are sold at a poultry sale they may be with people who will care for them. I hope they get caught. Blow for Merrydale though I love looking at their website.

abwsco
Just thought I'd post that I've just read on Practical Poultry that Karen has managed to get some of her birds back due to vigilant people who saw them for sale at Chelford auction mart. Don't know how many though as she hasn't said.
Cooks
oh that's great news!, at least she has managed to find some, lets hope she finds more!
Egluntyne
Marvellous. Moral of the story...never underestimate the vigilance of the chicken fraternity. I hope someone is facing charges for this.
