1. I'm really a Catherine but hated it so much as a child that I changed it to Kate as soon as I left school.

I'm glad I didn't get the A levels I wanted as I would have studied medicine and become a doctor but I later discovered I have no patience with patients so I am very happy to have ended up with my current career as a freelance medical writer but I can call myself a doctor anyway as I got a PhD!

1. I never used to like children until I had my boys - I love them to bits - they're some of the few people I actually enjoy being with.

 

2. I love animals - most animals - furry and feathery - and I'd have a zoo if it wasn't for OH. (I'm slowly and gradually getting there though... )

 

3. I want to move to a smallholding so that I can have goats, llamas and horses - and prefer shires to slender cute ponies. My dream horse is a Friesian (sp?).

 

4. I love drawing and painting (horses and people mainly).

 

5. I was brougth up a catholic... nowadays if I had to describe my religion I'd say 'pagan'.

 

6. Went to catholic convent school and managed to leave before being thrown out (hence 5.)

 

7. I was a bit of a rebel as a teenager, looked gothicky and said things just to scare and shock people.

 

8. I wish I had made more of an effort with my education. I'd love to continue developing my creative side, go to London St Martin's and do some of their courses.

 

9. I'd love to work as a knitwear designer, illustrator or just being able to sell my paintings.
