moomin
Here they are just one week later, they seem to have doubled in size, already quite tame, they don't freak out when I stroke them anymore and they are very cheeky! Perle is called after a Clematis I have 'Perle D'Azur' as she is exactly the same colour. She has quite a lot of face furniture and has a sort of eagle-y look about her. Hope she's not a cockeral Poppy. Always has a dreamy look about her, takes things more slowly than the others and is very docile (my favourite!!!) Poppy and Lulu. Lulu is head chicken and a greedy girl! Perle again... Lulu and Perle... Lulu, and Perle's tiny fluffy little bum Hope you like the pics of my chicks! chelsea
I agree with the above, I love to see your pics but when I see them my heart just aches for more chickens!! they are a stunning little trio, I think Perle is gorgeous and I could quite easily drive up to Wiltshire and pop her in my handbag when you werent looking! madchickenlady
I think Perle is gorgeous! The 'eagle' look is probably just due to her beak overhang. A nailfile would sort that out in no time
Christian
They are all adorable Moomin! Where did you get then from? My next door neighbour is interested in a couple of bantams (and if it doesn't work out, then I suppose I could always have them, a tough job, but someone's gotta do it )! Chelsea I doubt if she'd stay in your handbag (although you're welcome in Wiltshire anytime!), this morning I opened the eggport door and she was nearly off! If I hadn't have held out my hand she'd have been gone! She is a little bissum but absolutely sweet They are all adorable Moomin! Where did you get then from? Thanks Christian, I got them from Devonshire Traditional Breed Centre, I think they still had some buff and lavendar left. I'm loving having them they are such tiny little things but with really big personalities, I think we are going to have such fun with them. The 2 big old girls are taking it really calmly Skye shouted at them at bit at first (last Sunday at 7.15 in the morning ) but now she has calmed down. They eat their mealworms nicely together, and if the chicks still have some left when the two biggun's are finished they don't attack them thru the bars so that's a bonus! moomin
Aww, so cute! Your little grey one looks exactly like our little one Bruno: Bruno is currently our fave of all our chicks so fingers crossed Bruno is a she! B She does - they could be twins! Hope they are both girls, my little Perle is the only one so far that seems to like, (OK maybe 'tolerate' ), being picked up. So she is becoming my favourite as I am in desperate need of a cuddle chicken
BethBubbles
Bruno is our cuddliest too! All the others run away when I put my hand in the cage but she fluffs her feathers out for some strokes! So cute!
