Geoid
I logged on to Google Mail today, and saw in horror, that I had 61 spam messages! In just one day!
Tessa the Duchess
Are you sure they are actually spam Fred? Googlemail has decided in its infinite wisdom to start delivering half of my Freecycle posts in the spam box, very annoying Tessa

stoice
Our company's email server was broken into the other week. Another company looks after it all for us. They closed it down as soon as they noticed the breach but that wasn't before over 4000 emails were sent 'from our company' encouraging people to try certain blue little pills too. Very frustrating

Couperman
I've started getting those dodgy blue pill e-mails from myself I don't know how they got me to do it, they must have hypnotised me when I was drunk. They obviously aren't gonna make much money by getting me to try and sell things to myself. If I have them to sell I would let myself have them for free. Knowing my luck I would get one stuck in my throat and end up with a stiff neck. Kev.
Tessa the Duchess
I get them also but not so many since I stopped freecycle!!!?? probs on freecycle? Could be. Freecycle gets lots of spammers who harvest e.mail addresses, its almost impossible to stop. Having said that I am a member of two Freecycle groups and I almost never get spam, so who knows? Valkyrie
OH gets loads of those funny tablet ones. I tend to get the "new line to contact us as you have an account with us and you have been having lots of problems trying to get through" or something like. Amazing considering I do not have an account with those banks and when you pass the mouse over the contact name it usually shows up as some advertising company. I just like to see who is sending me the rubbish. Today my mum got through the post an enormous envelope - inside were vouchers for £400 from DFS. Now as my mum has some lovely new furniture from Laura Ashley, why would she get that from DFS? Plus she is on the mail preferential service. They are so going to be reported. Guest
I get well over 100 spams every day.
The Dogmother
I'm on Hotmail and only get roughly one per week, and that goes straight into my junk box. I'm on Freecycle too.
Ain't Nobody Here
Knowing my luck I would get one stuck in my throat and end up with a stiff neck. Very good, Kev I hardly get any spam on my Yahoo email these days. I think they must have a really good filter. I generally only get the banking ones or the begging ones on Blueyonder. Not enough to get cross about, luckily.
Lesley
I get hardly any with BT - that's why I stick with them.
Egluntyne
Same here. The ones that do get through usually are the ones that just require me to send £25 admin so that I can receive my inheritance from an uncle I didn't know I had in Malawi. Alis girls
i get ones from guys in Africa calling me "dear" etc and telling me I have inheritied money from someone I dont know. ..lay a little egg for me
My ISP filters most of them out and the junk mail feature on outlook takes care of the rest, so I very rarely get any.

Blackrocksrock
Since I decided to alter my freecycle mail and only choose to go to the freecycle site and see the ads my spam mail this weekend has dropped dramatically so I can assume that most of it was coming from freecycle - Its easy to change this option on the freecycle pages and worth a try if you are bothered like I was with spam all the time.
