LisaP
Congratulations to you both and best wishes for the future. Try not to let the butterflies get too fluttery and enjoy yourself - as someone else has said it all goes by too quickly. Lisa P
Tulip
Ooooh fantastic, someone EVEN MORE EXCITED than me! Have an amazing day, Lisa. Congratulations! The others are right, we absolutely must have piccies. Funnily enough, we had our rehearsal the other night and K asked if they've had anyone do the owls-with-rings thing. No. Without even thinking I asked "How about chickens?" The venue now think we're utterly barking.... Chickpea, my only piece of advice would be if you're making things yourself (invites, favours, table plans) then make a start on them as soon as you can. Before you know it, the wedding will be 12 weeks away and you'll have to force yourself to get it all finished! My evening-invitation-making plans were not helped by work going crazy and needing me to work stupid hours and weekends for the last few weeks
lisaroo2
Well, here we are 3 days to go... got to work having been listening to my i-pod and as I pulled into the carpark the song that I'm walking down the aisle to came on. Next minute I'm sobbing! Great. Twas tears of happiness though. Rang hubbie-to-be and he luaghed but was understanding as he cries at the drop of a hat anyway!! REALLY looking forward to the day though.... Lisa xxx
Fizzle Knit
Congratulations! The weather looks promising for Saturday too! What was the song that made you cry, or are you keeping that secret for the ceremony?
lisaroo2
The song that made me cry was Nella Fantasia - the version by Russell Watson. The song is very poignant for me as it is the song that I use to calm me down. It saw me through a nervous breakdown many years ago and will be used to start new beginnings this saturday. I think any of our guest are on this forum so I'm pretty safe telling you all. Lisa x
hillfamily
Soon it will be chickens delivering the rings! Emma.x Can you imagine it.... Congregation silent in anticipation...... B&G standing up by the Vicar/Priest & he says "may I have the rings"..... Bride turns round looks down the aisle & calls out "bok bok bok"....in flurries favourite chook with rings neatly ribboned around her neck in return for the handful of corn held under the bouquet by the Bride........all together now.....aaaaaahhhhhhh (extra duties for the chief usher...poo picking & chook removal!!!) awwwwwww.......now that makes me what to get married again just so my beautiful Belle could walk down the aisle with the rings All the best for Saturday Lisa :D Hope you and your OH have a wonderful time :D

A chickychickychick-ENN!!
YAY!!! Tips for looking lovely - don't have any beauty treatments within three days of the big event which you haven't previously had before and know the 'recovery' times for. Nothing like a facial to bring out impurities so you end up with a big spot on your nose for the photos! Get some proper rest in the build-up, don't drink too much in the week before and above all, smile! You'll look radiant with all the excitement bubbling out of you!
