Charlottechicken
I'm not voting............yet. It is a little too obvious at the moment isn't it Martin
Martin B
Go and read Orwell's Animal Farm! I love that book, It's got a great meaning. When the pigs stand up, smoke cigars and play poker!
Sheilaz
Had to just check this topic in case there was a heated debate of extreme views, or any broad sweeping generalisations on the forum. I never reveal to anyone who I vote for, although I always vote, but don't have strong allegiance to one party. Definitely need a box for "none of the above". Sorry not to be much help, Martin. Cate in NZ
Sheila says I never reveal to anyone who I vote for, although I always vote . Ditto I'm another ditto ..... sorry Martin, we're not a lot of help to you, but I'm hugely disillusioned by all the political parties in this country at the moment, it's all spin and waffle, and the only thing that ever seems to change is the taxes. They're all as bad as each other and I don't trust any one of them. I do vote, because with a democracy we have the right to vote, and a lot of people fought long and hard to equal votes for all. It is in fact a privilege.... plenty of countries don't allow free elections, therefore I feel that I should use my vote. But it's always so hard deciding who to vote for

The last few years have been difficult though as I don't want to vote for any one of the parties - I feel disenfranchised at the moment

gooner.girl
Can we have a 'there all rubbish' category and a 'if a women is standing as p.m i'd vote for her' category please Martin?! Then i'll vote! OR How about "Ooops, word censored!"NE WENGER FOR PRIME MINISTER? I reckon he'd do a good job! Helen
Jools
I suspect my stupid dog Alf would do a better job than the current (or any potential) encumbants!

ubereglu
Hello Martin, I voted Liberal Democrats! Though they aren't doing a good job at the minute. Labout is definitely in trouble though as Tony Blair can't get away with staying much longer-he'll dig himself a hole and fall in it! In my eyes the Consrvatives are a bunch of we'll do this, and that, trying to cover everyone and everything. They have no strategy and just say they'll do things-BUT NOT HOW. Green Party-sensible they keep quiet! What also annoyed me about the Conservatives is that when it was environment week thing and David Cameron went to the ice cap to see the effects of global warming-he probably went in a private jet and then added to the effect of it. harveypup
Jamie Oliver gets my vote!! he has done more good with his school dinner's campaign than the current lot have done all the time they have been in office
Cate in NZ
Jamie Oliver gets my vote!! he has done more good with his school dinner's campaign than the current lot have done all the time they have been in office I agree with just about everything Jamie's said and done about the rubbish that our children get fed, both in school and home, but he's upset a lot of parents and children by trying to force change through so quickly. As a nation (massive generalisation here ) we eat a load of junk.... and the young people actually like it and see it as normal and acceptable I'm not sure what the answer is, I admire Jamie hugely, and think that his work is fantastic... but he's alienated at least as many as he's converted. I work in Greenwich, I know some of the children and a dinner lady that he worked with in the first series. Their opinions of him aren't all suitable for posting on a family forum At least he's trying... maybe one day the message will finally get through . Jamie Oliver for PM!!!! kannie
Come on you lot - Martin's not asking you to reveal who you usually vote for - the poll is anonymous! (unless you mods have super powers!) Just don't imagine that who we usually vote for is who we'll vote for next time, Martin!
pepe
I think in a few years you should be PM Martin, you seem to have more common sense, than the lot of them put together!!!!
ubereglu
Sniff, what about me?????? I can be decisive and I know what and when I want something to be done!
Cate in NZ
Liz, I think that both you and Martin are marvellous ambassadors for the youth of today. You're both bright, enthusiastic and questioning, aware of your own opinions yet ready to listen to others And if you really want something you're determined enough to work out a plan of action and see it through. If you and Martin are truly representative of the next generation, then thank heavens... the furure's looking bright
ubereglu
I wonder what I got in my Maths test yesterday though ...She was going to grade it by the exam percentages-I reckon I might have just s"Ooops, word censored!"ed an A*, but if not I think I definitel got an A. It was based on things in a GCSE higher tier paper. But I won't get to know the results until next Friday as I have a trip and a training day when I'm supposed to be doing Maths. Guest
I vary who I generally vote for. Locally, the Lib Dems tend to do a very good job so I often vote for them. My local MP is Peter Ainsworth who is excellent and seems very supportive, so while we have him I vote for him. I am thinking of going Green Party, but of course the problem is when I come to vote there may not be a Green Party candidate. Which reminds me of something you may not realise Martin. When you vote, everything is local. Unless you happen to live in one of their constituencies, you will not be voting for Tony Blair or David Cameron. I was really surprised when an 18 year old I knew thought she would be voting for the Prime Minister!
pepe
Sorry noeglu, of course you would be even better than Martin as PM, you're a woman Martin, you will have to settle for deputy!
