chickencam
I answered the phone at 7.50 this morning and my BIL said hello Auntie Liz Their baby was due on 4th June but we have a bit of a tradition for first babies to be 2 weeks early in this family. My OH, our ED now our nephew. Apparently he was born on the half landing of their staircase on the new carpet that has only been down for a fortnight with BIL as midwife. This is all despite them going to hospital at 3am, they were sent home at 5am and BIL was running a bath for SIL at the time. They have had the same carpet for 30 odd years (BIL bought the family home about 8 years ago ) they had only just changed it Henry Edward (this Henry didn't have any trouble comeing out of his tunnel) Sorry we have a bit of a thing for Thomas The Tank Engine in this family too my son is called James named by ED after the red engine and we liked the name so it stuck So excited we will probably go to see them on Sunday they live 150 miles away but what is distance when there is a baby involved Edited June 1, 2009 by Guest

Chook n Boo Mum
Congratulations Auntie Liz nothing like a new baby to brighten the day! I had a cuddle with a 4 week old munchkin yesterday, and handed her back without so much as a pang of broodiness Now a chook or a pup & that would be a different story !!! They said the baby was asleep so i said go to sleep yourselves (they have been up since 2.30am) but of course they won't

Olly
Congratulations! I love being an auntie (and a great-aunt, now). My friend had her baby in the bathroom as it all happened rather faster than expected. She rang the insurance company to make a claim, and they were stumped as it didn't fit their usual 'script' of filling in the claim form. Eventually they agreed that they would put down the cause of the claim as 'Escape of water' ...
