I've seen a few tweets about eglu's popping up + someone started an eglu hashtag (#eglu), obviously I had to join too

They're like if I wanted to send something to all Omleteers, I'd write my message and put #Omleteers in it. They you can search that and everyone can have a mass conversation.

Or they're used for current/popular topics like #revision or the new #iPhone

I joined twitter to see what it was all about - cannot fathom it out and some company decided to follow me - I opted out altogether - hated it. Its for some and not others I fear but I do love the forum.

Me neither - I joined a couple of months ago, done absolutely nothing on it until last week when a friend contacted me from her safari holiday in South Africa via it. She also has no idea how to do it. I'm not overly bothered about it, I'll probably close it.
