Cold! I would have fried them (like bubble and squeak) and topped it with a poached egg and the HP. Now that would have been delicious

If left over cabbage and potatoes can combine to make bubble and squeak, I wonder what name you can give to your breakfast.....it might catch on

 

 

Not as bad as breakfasts we were served when had a short stay in Murmansk back in January '88.

 

Waiting for us on our first day were sprouts still in the warming trays from the night before

 

Everything had to be kept on the go 24/7 so that a hot meal was always available for the submarine crews. They just kept topping the trays up with more over cooked veg once it got to a certain level, goodness knows how old the stuff at the bottom was

 

After that we mostly ate cured fish for breakfast, sturgeon I think, as it was on a different counter and not tainted by the stewed veg.

Cinnamon, I could come round & eat that - if it had been heated though.

We used to have left over Sunday dinners, tossed into the frying pan ( fry up) years ago & those were considered special breakfasts.

Oh & I can beat your breakfast any day.............

I would love that for lunch, but breakfast has to be cereal and very cold milk, can't live without breakfast but it has to be fairly bland.

 

My daughter always has to have a nibble of her crisps and her sandwich as she puts and ice pack into her lunch box every morning to what flavout they are and it turns my stomach every time.
