I so want one of these. They have a little wood fire to heat them and smell heavenly and the water comes up high - proper over-chest height. They are so good. They are second on my wishlist after bantams now!

I've been breaking it gently to my husband that in that (long) distant future where we have a presentable garden and a patio/decking I'd like a hot tub. He would be so much happier with something like that compared to the usual sort - especially the woodfired option for heating !

 

It's going to take so long to get the garden sorted I might be able to afford one

I luuuurve hottubs, however I don't like these and can't see you would be able to keep the heat intensity of the water without having to keep getting out and adding wood.

The colder it is the better it is. You get out and don't feel cold - even without the heating on indoors. I use it as a money saving device honest.

 

Oh and on a beautiful morning when the family are over - crack open a bottle of bubbly and pass the bucks fizz (yes last sunday I went from bed to booze in about 5 mins flat!)

That does look tempting but, I am with Clootie as I am not mad keen on them. Mind you, they would probably be less hassle than our pool!

 

A friend of mine bought her OH one for his birthday. He then bought her a set of golf clubs for hers (and she doesn't play golf!)

I'm in two minds about them. My dad used to have one but I've never used one.

 

I definitely wouldn't want a wooden one as the thought of wet wood just makes me want to and it makes my teeth go funny

it would be like sharing your bath with a load of people wouldnt mind the family ie OH and 2 boys but not other people no matter how clean they are. Always a bit worried re swimming pools and whose done what in it on 2nd thoughts lets mot go there

That is my ultimate dream. I wanted to check that it would be worth saving up for though and that we would actually use it so last spring we bought one of these

We used it all last summer, and it's outside again this year. I adore it and I stay in it until I have to get dragged out.

 

The cats also love sleeping on the lid when it's not in use as it's lovely and warm. As far as they are concerned we bought it as a cat bed for them .

I love those dutch tubs but ack at the price My new garden is big enough for a hot tub of some sort....maybe when we put the extension on I'll save a bit extra for a hot tub.

Funny you should mention that, my friend is turning her birthing pool into a hot tub when she's finished using it for her labour .

I'm with you Clootie - I can't see the point in getting that wet if I can't swim in it! I'd rather have an Endless Pool for a small space, but I'd have to win the lottery first!
