We watched this in a Bristol hotel last night on a very slow journey home (ES having a halloween party at home).

 

As Jackiepoppies said unbelievable that those two were in the bottom two. Ali danced better with a dodgy foot than either Craig or Chris (or Ricky Grove for that matter).

 

I hope the great british viewing public get their act together before we are just left with all the rubbish dancers.

It seems that there might be a link between judges comments & the public's backlash. Also the sympathy vote for Craig as a) it was his birthday & b) he wanted to get to Blackpool.

 

We just wish that Craig R-H would learn that his destructive comments will always end with a public backlash. It's the one expression they have to put the judges in their place - but it has a negative effect on the competitors that deserve to stay. A little more wisdom and less "conceitedness" (glass houses come to mind re. his comment to Ricky Groves ) might mean the show can get on with the real work.

 

Anyone remember Julian Clary's getting through to the final, for an example?

It's like the X factor - talent it seems is not the deciding factor. I get so frustrated but I love the dancing and the progress the contestants make so have to watch. And I thought Rickie Whittle's quickstep was sublime last night - oh I wish I could dance like that!

What was wrong with Ali's foot? We missed the beginning of the show, was that why she was wearing ballet pumps instead of heels?

 

Shock result, I hope Craig feels a bit guilty about the whole Blackpool tactics, I like him, but for Zoe to go and him to stay was wrong. It should have been him and Chris in the dance off.

She had stubbed her toe in the final rehearsal really badly. It was bruised and swollen and she was in agony apparently.

Yes, Mr Griffin & I both commented on how awful they performed. Not the force of old.

If they were miming then their recording studio manager needs to be shot as he was out of tune and really struggling to reach the high pitch of old.

 

It was really embarrassing to watch and listen to. A bit like Andy Williams. There comes a time when you really ought to give up. Although saying that we saw Neil Diamond last year and I think he's in his 60s or 70s and he was still good.

At least it was the right two in the bottom two this time. We sat looking like at Craig, he really, really couldn't see that he can't dance as well as the others.

 

Flavia looked a bit relieved to me.

 

Some really lovely dancing last night especially when the professionals did the viennese waltz, the had really gorgeous dresses on too.

I like him, (I've met him, and he is absolutely charming), am a huge Corrie fan and a fellow northerner, but ............

 

Tuffers will be next I reckon.

It's going to come down to Ricky Whittle and Ali Bastion I reckon. They have been the ones to watch from the beginning (though for some reason I just can't 'engage' with Ali). I couldn't watch Craig in the dance off - it was bad enough the first time! Poor Flavia.

 

Hopefully all the 'sympathy pleas'' have gone now and there can be a proper competition.

 

I can't wait for 'So you think you can dance' to start - the standard of that FANTASTIC!

I caught up with it last night when I finished off the ironing, thought that Flavia looked relieved too. Aleesha said what I'd been wanting to say all along - he really was dire and never looked like he was enjoying it.

 

I thought that Jade was fantastic last night.

I'm looking forward to seeing it without him too. He ruins it for me with his naff jokes. I'm not working tomorrow so I'm looking forward to actually being able to watch it uninterrupted at home from the comfort of my chair

I'm intrigued(sp) to see how it goes without Bruce. I didn't know this was the 1st show in all the series that he has missed!

 

I was watching it takes two yesterday and Ricky and Natalie's jive looks really fast and they said that they have slowed it down. I think i want either Phil, Ricky G or Chris to go tonight.
