Guest
I'm with Lesley - have to change the way I "say" it now. Or maybe not cos I'm an Essex burd and we dont say nuffink proper round here. The school I work at is called Beauchamps. We have it on good authority that it should be pronounced "Beechams" but of course we pronounce it "bowshamps". All I can say is thank goodness it's not in sarfend. Still Eglu teen to me!
Olly
Anyone familiar with Walthamstow will know that the George Monoux college is actually pronounced 'Monnox'. I caused huge hilarity amongst my friends the first time I innocently spoke the word as I thought it should be said!
