Joojoo
adverts saying "order now in time for Christmas". There have been 3 in the last half an hour all for different stores!!! I know it's only 13 weeks and 1 day until Christmas but even so
Chickvic
I know what you mean! I love Christmas but even I find it amazing that the shops have their Christmas stuff out now Let alone having to order something just in case
WarrensWorld
We are both agreed, we will not acknowledge the 'C' word in any way what so ever. That's until after December 1st.........

poachedegg
I've started buying some things - because I hate shopping at Christmas and the busyness of the shops...that way I can enjoy all the christmassy things in December.
Space Chick
I make it my personal mission to finish all my shopping before Dec 1st. Have bought some things for my sister and the God Children. As Phil and I are away this year, I doubt we'll buy anything for each other, especially as we are having new sofas. Cooks
gift wrap a sofa each.. or put a big soppy ribbon on them... sofas are more practical than half the over priced junk there is around these days. I am not feeling very Christmassey yet... can you tell?
Space Chick
Just spoken to Phil and we have agreed that we won't buy each other anything for Christmas, so the ribbon on the sofa is looking a good idea

bronze
I refuse to do anything until after dec 1st. 3 months is a quarter of a year. the 1st is ds2s birthday anyway so it seems a good date to wait until
Lesley
I dont know where this silly modd has come from. What silly Mods?? - no silly Mods around here I did buy Argos vouchers on Saturday for presents, and insisted on having my free £10 voucher for spending £100......it didn't come up on the till and the young man had to go and ask the manager.....they tried to tell me that I couldn't have a voucher but I said that their advert didn't say that it didn't apply to spending on vouchers and that I only needed 3 as birthday presents so they could refund the other 7 and I'd buy them nearer the time........they couldn't find anything in the book they looked through so I got my free voucher

Chickvic
I wouldn't worry about having sofas as a Christmas pressie, I've had a dishwasher, vacuum cleaner and other practical presents I love it! Although we do occassionally buy silly bits and pieces too
Valkyrie
OH and I often don't bother but buy a joint thing that is needed in the house or garden. His birthday is soon after so he is a pain at that time of year. I think he will be getting lots of snoring remedies this year. I usually order the turkey in October, but usually not much else gets done this early in the year. Bah humbug and all that!
Mrs Webmuppet
I hate Christmas being advertised so early. I feel like screaming 'look, I am fully aware that Christmas is in 3 momths time and I don't need reminding' when I see the Christmas puds etc on display. The more it is rammed down my throat by the shops the more determined I am that they won't get my money!
freespiritbutterfly
I am in total agreement with you. I adore chrimbo but when people come into a florist this early and ask when they need to pre-order chrimbo wreaths and chrimbo bits it can take the fun out of it because its just too early! maybe in another 6 weeks lol!!!!!! Purplemaniacs
OH and I often don't bother but buy a joint thing that is needed in the house or garden. An excellent idea Koojie, OH would love a walk in run as our joint Christmas present Right that is OH sorted present wise Don't tell him Chrissie

ubereglu
I hate that too, especially as I kept seeing Christmas stuff before my birthday last week too. On another note I hate it how my friends who have jobs moan...they have money and valuable experience under their belts. I don't.
Woodcat
I can't cope with the idea of Christmas yet. I've only just got through the "what do you want for you birthday" which I never have an answer for without the whole process starting again with the added complication of getting other people presents. I dread the Christmas period mainly because I dread shopping. I have an inner timer that means if I shop for more than two hours coffee break included I want to turn into a five year old and kick and scream. I have a lot of symphathy for the average child having a tantrum during Christmas shopping. It doesn't help me much as all I want to do is join in but.... I am firmly of the opinion that Christmas should be banned until the first of December. .....and thats my Bah Humbug of the day Beth
Reikiranf
I have actually bought one Christmas present I'm not usually so organised but it was on offer and too good to miss A few years ago we didn't get paid until just before Christmas so we went out on December 22nd @ 2pm went to Lakeside and Bluewater and returned home at 10pm having got all the Christmas presents & food shopping! I should add that I did make a present list so when I hit the shops I knew what I was buying and for who. Amanda ps re: presents I often get DH a dvd that I really want to see
