How wonderful, what an amazing experience for him too - and the interview said "destined for awards...." so I'd keep his suit out for a while yet! I think it's fab, well done him and big pat on the back for Mummy too! BeckyBoo

Egluntyne
OK. Not wanting to hijack Maria's thread, but my son has just got a training contract (to be a solicitor) after 2 years of trying. Juggling 2 part time paralegal jobs and obtaining a further qualification in that time. It is most difficult time for all law graduates, because of the recession etc, but he has worked extremely hard to get it. Great joy and felicitation at Egluntyne Towers. chickenNutter
Absolutely! It is great that our kids get some good press and some positive boosts in their lives - there is so much pressure on them these days. I would hate to be 16 again! My eldest also 16 is still waiting to have a part in Waterloo Road confirmed, but youngest daughter is recording a Radio Play called Solace for Radio 4 on Monday, so I am a proud mummy too! Old Speckled Hen
That's wonderful ........ you must be soooooooooooo proud. My only daughter, after having graduated from Cambridge with a First, is putting herself through drama school and living in absolute penury. I tell her that artists don't die in garrets any more but she's doing a good impression. I worry that it will be for nowt as there are so many unemployed actors and a little voice in my head says, "get a proper job and use that degree." So, Maria, your story is a ray of sunshine
