The stocking fillers thread

Recommended Posts

Christian,I saw all of those in M&S yesterday - especially love the puzzle & the cookie cutters :P

Actually there are lots of really lovely things in there this year 8)

The cookie cutters 'slipped' into my basket by mistake.:wink:

LMW is science mad so a few of their kits always end up in the basket and the stockings chez Webmuppet are judged to be incomplete without at least one clockwork bug/penguin etc.

Try charity shops for sciencey things. I am sure that Oxfam had a few bits - as well as WH Smiths......

The stockings were the best bit when we were children, & I know my girls love them.

I really enjoy finding little bits & pieces for them & do so throughout the year, so they often have a little reminder of a holiday or day out.

I have hinted that they may soon be a bit too old for them &they were not amused

See my post above about doing stockings for my older sisters, and tell your girls not to worry, they have a good few years before they're too old!

Stockings ARE the best bit, I would rather have that than a proper present really.

My Mum said the same. I politely reminded her that 27 is no age!!:liar:

I popped into M&S in Newcastle yesterday and saw the cookie cutter and 125 years star cutters in a tin. They are lovely. OH informs me there is a box waiting at home from M&S!!

I'll have to do a pic of my fabric stash!

I have already bought my quilting buddy her pressies. One value finder (it's a red strip of plastic which helps you sort your fabric into lights, mediums and darks, although it can't do red for obvious reasons), and templates to make a feathered star. Also needles for me and a leeetle more fabric which was on sale and I want to do some applique  ) I bought these from The Cotton Patch UK. :D

Poundland has normal glow sticks most of the time in tubes of 20 and they occasionally have things like chunky bead necklaces and other glow stuff. My OH goes in there once a week to see what's new and stocks up with bits and bobs for the children.

There is another pound shop here too where I got 3 balls of fluffy wool for £1 and some 15mm needles for YD's birthday.
