Guest
In my younger days, I used to run a pub, right next to Edinburgh University, and depite S&N's best attempts to provide a pub for 'fat, balding businessmen' (Area Managers words at the first site meeting during its refurb), it was always full of rich students, spending their parents money. One New Year, we had the usual influx the day before term started, and one of our regulars (who always asked for a TBB, V&T, and a V double L, in the hope that we would be too stupid to understand what she meant), came to the bar, ordered, then turned to her friend who had enquired about Christmas, and said 'It was OK, but daddy wouldn't buy me a pony, and expected me to be happy with a Mini instead - can you believe it?!' Cue barstaff falling about the place, wetting themselves, and 2 very peeved rich-chicks propping up the bar, lamenting the meanness of parents....... Lesley-Jean
I can remember as a child when I was pleased with a green (as in colour not ethics) alarm clock for Christmas

Well done though for her brother geting his own back and posting it on the internet. Wonder what she'd make of my bright green van then ? One Man Banned
I have one thought for this young (lady?) SLAP! how utterly ungrateful and what a spoilt little madam - ok I would have been happier had it been a Volvo C70 coupe and not a Saab! Charlottechicken
I think I am out on my own on this one. From the dialogue it appears that she specifically asked for a blue car, but daddy bought red instead. I have to say that if she was promised a car and asked for a blue one then I don't object to her having a moan. Yes she is obviously spoilt, but that is the fault of her parents, the ones who are now hurt because their darling daughter isn't happy with the red car. Maybe if they listened to their children a little rather than throw money at them.........
Egluntyne
Am marvelling at the fact that Revnev watches Sweet Sixteen. My kids would thing that very cool. Are you looking for ideas for your daughters 16th birthday party?
