Redwing
Funny I was calm about it at the time and was only worried about the eggs and chicks! The electrician left us the melted fuse box thingy and its quite scary the amount of damage that there is to it

The Dogmother
Goodness, just glad that you and OH are OK. Eggs can usually manage with a bit of cool that late in the hatching process. Are all the chickies warmed up now? Reminds me of a friend who brooded a wee duckling in her ample cleavage after his Mum abandoned him
Redwing
We have one huuuuuuuge white chick out (already has a comb so probably a boy) this will be a table bird (stan is dad and hybrid table bird is mum) The spawn of stan and the French Copper black maran is hatching - if a girl it will be a lovely dark egg layer if a boy it will be another table bird Three other 'table bird' eggs still in there Two precious barred Wyandotte banty eggs in there too but showing no signs of life
Lewis
I know I can't say they're cute if they're going to be table birds ... but I bet they are
Redwing
its very sweet Lewis, as I left this morning it was pecking the Marans egg and cheeping at the chick inside who was answering I did get a few pecks through the pipped hole though so I hope it doesnt hurt the chick inside but it was pecking very gently and curiously rather than agressive When anything in the inccy cheeps the month old chicks in the brooder answer too, its like springtime in our kitchen
