The Dogmother
It's snowing again here Martin - big fat ones! There's so much snow that it really didn't take long at all to make our one.
Martin B
I've made another snow man, but it fell apart a bit, my dad smashed it when he put the head on... Here's it's remains, it's almost as tall as me!

Snowy
Fantastic photos everyone! We should have a snowman competition! Well I managed to skive off work at 12.30 after all. Big son had cleared off with his mates for a snowballfest/battle, little son fell asleep with Dad, which left me and middle son to get wrapped up warm and get outside. We built a great snowman and had a mini snowball fight (he is only 4 ) then went for a tramp over the fields. Fabulous! Unfortunately didn't take any pictures Then OH wanted to go to the library, so got the sledge out and towed both little boys on that to the library and back When I checked the weather report at lunchtime, todays offering was meant to be sleet! Tomorrow is going to be 'proper' snow!! Wahay!
fourfinches
I've been on a course for the last couple of days. Yesterday it seemed like spring had really arrived... Woke this morning to four inches of snow... hard to believe the difference! Morag

Cate in NZ
Beautiful photos all. It looked like you all had a great time in the snow . We got plenty down here too, and my children were both severely disappointed that they both had to go to school. Son maintains (loudly ) that his school was the only one open in the entire of Bromley. I have no idea if that was true, but heartless mother that I am I made him go in. Apparently out of a class of 30 or so only 11 arrived for the morning, and at lunch time there was a mass exodus and only 4 turned up for afternoon registration Inset day today, so he's really unhappy that the snow's pretty much all gone . Poor, deprived child. His sister had to go in yesterday and today
Guest
We've still got loads of snow here and it has just started to snow huge big flakes again Inset day here as well so Harry and Jules are very pleased, so am I as I don't have to go out in it. I have had a veg box and a supermarket delivery today so I don't even have to fetch any shopping.
hillfamily
can you send some of the snow in our direction.........please... it's just been grey, wet and very muddy this week would really love a day of proper snow so we could make a snowman and have lots of fun. Had a bit of snow the other week (only 2nd time in 11years ) but it had all melted by mid morning. Apparently we have our own climate because we are sandwiched between the SOuth Downs and the sea. Egluntyne
As King George V was reputed to have said....."Bu**er Bognor"! Seems a shame that you are missing out on all the fun!
pepe
Same here Pam no snow! had some last year and I took photos, very rare to have snow in Cornwall, but Iam 10 minutes from the sea, so we can't complain I've loved loooking at all the photos and it looks like you've had loads of fun! We have just had tons of rain
Guest
Sorry you don't have any snow I wish I could send you some It's still snowing heavily here and we have probably had another inch or two and Jules has to keep on going out to uncover the face of her 'snowbear' The snowman in the garden next door has an umbrella I think with the amount of snow we are getting it may get too heavy for him to hold
bronze
No snow here either (still) At least that menas there should be some bread and milk at th eshop
The Dogmother
We've still got about 3" of snow, but it's melting fast now. We had heavy snowfalls this afternoon, but it was all too wet to settle
theherd123
Well i didnt really want to go curtain shopping to begin with however i got dragged to the shops never-the-less!!! I have just got back having had to ditch the car in the car park after moving only 3 car lengths in 1 hour i left it on the first floor and walked home in the snow with the OH carrying a curtain pole nearly beheading me each time he turned round to check i was still following! I was beginning to know how the headless snowmen felt. I love the snow, i adore how it changes the landscape to give you a whole new perspective on things but i do wish it didnt hold the traffic up like it does!!! Helly Welly
Our snow was turning to slush but it has been snowing steadily here for most of the afternoon. My daughters school stayed open yesterday but unbelievably, the children weren't allowed out at playtime or lunchtime in case "someone got a snowball in their eye" It seems that children aren't allowed to have fun anymore!!
