Ain't Nobody Here
How long between the "before" and "after"? 5 mintues? Oh go on, 10 minutes then... Strange thing is, it's about 2 years . They paid it no attention till a couple of months ago but have now decimated it . I blame the 2 new girls - it obviously didn't occur to the oldies that it was edible . And that lawn in the first photo was brand new - literally . The second one was taken today but it looks a lot better in the photo than in real life . There are lumps, bumps and bare patches everywhere but I've got Green Thumb coming in a few weeks so hopefully that'll sort it out.
Tutti Frutti
I blame the 2 new girls What make are they? Just so I know what to avoid!

Snowy
But looking at your lawn ANH, I now know where I've been going wrong - my fencing is to keep the chickens off the flowerbeds and on the lawn. Maybe I should swap them round
Tutti Frutti
Please tell me they're not your Columbine or Marans - I'm getting two new girls soon and want a Columbine and Copper Black Marans (or Suffolk Noir)! YIPPEE!!! Actually, I'd welcome advice on which one I should get for a really dark brown egg? Thinking Hybrid not pure breed (don't want the broodiness and winter lay-off). Thanks ANH Maybe I'll start a new post nearer the time!
Ain't Nobody Here
One's a Mendlesham Blue and one's a Cuckoo Maran. My Columbine is a right character - she's always the one up to mischief .
Space Chick
Fab photos ANH. I have a similar bush which has now gone to the great shrubbery in the sky
Tutti Frutti
My Columbine is a right character - she's always the one up to mischief . YIPPEE!!!! Wish me luck - we've just ordered a Columbine and a Suffolk Noir The breeder we bought our posh birds from is boarding our four during our hols and said we can choose a Columbine and Suffolk Noir when we drop our four off... and she'll house them so they can see each other! So she gets all the shouting whilst we're on hols! What service, eh?

Plum
Noooo I was going to plant my eunomymous (?sp) down there. Mind you there are some nice red flowers in your garden and look at those green bushes. What are you complaining about.
