Chickpea
Just reminding everyone about the lunar eclipse tonight, apparantly the BBC says "it could be the best in years". So if any of you are photographically adept, it begins at 2018 GMT, with the Moon totally immersed in the shadow of the Earth between 2244 and 2358 GMT. I know I'll be out there in my pjs watching! (with a nice mug of hot choc)

Martin B
I looked and there is a thin purple ring around the moon but that might just be my eye sight!
ali-s
Just had a nosey out of the living room window. The moon seems to have a dent on the right hand side near the top

Still looks like a full moon! Same here Christian, my little girl just asked me the same question I think it is supposed to be a full lunar eclipse at 10.45pm............Maybe it is on a go slow. Cate in NZ
The moon down here seems to have a flat bottom............ can't decide if it's cloud or the start of the eclipse I can see plenty of stars so it's not a cloudy night, but I still don't know. I'm actually wishing I had a telescope, or even binoculars so that I could have a better look. I'll just have to keep checking and hopefully it'll become clearer later. Tina C
Ooh oooh I can see the start of a black shadow at the bottom. Just going to get a G&T and a blanket - me and OH are going to sit in the garden and watch now. How exciting - so glad I logged on here tonight as had no idea it was happening. Cate in NZ
Just been back to check, the flat bottom that I thought might possibly have been cloud was definitely eclipse. The bottom half of the moon is missing now
