Eclipse

Recommended Posts

Just reminding everyone about the lunar eclipse tonight, apparantly the BBC says "it could be the best in years". So if any of you are photographically adept, it begins at 2018 GMT, with the Moon totally immersed in the shadow of the Earth between 2244 and 2358 GMT. I know I'll be out there in my pjs watching! (with a nice mug of hot choc) 8)

he is convinced they have the wrong day! Still looks like a full moon!

Same here Christian, my little girl just asked me the same question I think it is supposed to be a full lunar eclipse at 10.45pm............Maybe it is on a go slow.

The moon down here seems to have a flat bottom............ can't decide if it's cloud or the start of the eclipse :? I can see plenty of stars so it's not a cloudy night, but I still don't know. I'm actually wishing I had a telescope, or even binoculars so that I could have a better look. I'll just have to keep checking and hopefully it'll become clearer later.

Ooh oooh I can see the start of a black shadow at the bottom. Just going to get a G&T and a blanket - me and OH are going to sit in the garden and watch now. How exciting - so glad I logged on here tonight as had no idea it was happening.
